On a positive note upgrades and repairs have been attempted. This motel is ok as long as you bring Kleenex, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer, as these items are not provided. If you don't like the very little bars of soap please feel free to bring your own. You may wish to bring some disinfecting wipes as the posted signs indicate that the rooms are cleaned on Mondays and Thursdays but this appears to be flexible as ours was not cleaned during our 5 day stay. Make sure you wear your shoes or dark colored socks as the floor darkens your socks. The molding around the door needs repair as the light shines in and there is a hole big enough for a mouse. If you are concerned about safety don't worry the police seem to patrol regularly.

Recently renovated clean stay

Friendly staff, nice bar area with pub food. Free shuttle to casino, though rides stop at 9:45pm. Good value, reasonably priced. I would definitely stay there again. Bathroom was functional, but a bit outdated. Clean and comfortable room, nice grounds.

Very convenient to the university and downtown. Relatively quiet for an urban location.

If you book with a third party, beware. This hotel has a policy of assigning accessible rooms to third party reservations. This was an actual statement by the front desk staff when we asked about the lack of expected amenities in our assigned room, and when we asked about the broken shower. We arrived late and were leaving early, so this lack of promised items was just a minor inconvenience until we discovered that the shower in our sparse room was broken. We were given a very hard time when we requested a usable shower. They asked us to move to another room when our children were already asleep in the first room. They finally let us use a shower in another room only that night, but not in the morning. There were no extra blankets, towels, tissue, or toilet paper provided. The beds were comfortable, it was quiet, the laundry room was helpful, and temperature control was ok, of noisy, once we figured it out. There was a slight musty smell that permeated the building. It’s not a bad place to stay except that the staff was so very rude. We treated so rudely by the front desk staff that I would never recommend this place to anyone. Stay someplace else if you wish to be be comfortable and be treated with respect.
