Clean nice stuff shuttle was convenient

The woman at check in was very short with me. At 2:00 PM she stated no rooms were ready. She was unable to say when we should come back. When I returned at 4:00, she gave me a room on the fourth floor. When I asked for a lower floor she said there were no other rooms. The man who was also behind the desk looked stunned and gave her a look, at which time, she offered a first floor room. So I dont know what was going on there. I like this hotel and stay here 4-5 times a year. I have always been able to check in a bit early so this was all very dissappointing.

The hotel was located in a great location near the highway and UConn Medical Center. Check in and out was easy and the staff was nice. Parking was plentiful and close to entrances. Our primary negative was overall cleanliness of our room. We had a ‘suite,’ but it really needed a deep clean and had some deferred maintenance. There was chipped paint, warped wood, and was just generally dirty in the room. Additionally, the hotel hallway smelled intensely of cleaner. My family and I also discovered that the hotel beds were not made with comforters and the hotel was using a bed skirt inside a duvet cover. Very weird stay overall.
