"Beautiful Hotel with the friendliest staff"
The hotel was wonderful and the concierge was outstanding and helpful. Every staff member we encountered was so friendly. The only issue we had was with the cleaning staff not restocking out room. The room was cleaned, but coffee, tea cakes, and items eaten in the cash bar weren't replaced, so we had to call down a couple times to get things we were missing. Also, there was not blanket or sheet available to use if we didn't want to use the big thick and hot comforter.

Grand Central Hotel

"So convenient"
Sits adjacent to central train station and is a drop off point for the airport bus shuttle. Right downtown. Welcome staff was great and allowed us into our room early (11 am). Nice bar and restaurant in the hotel, looking out into the terminal. We could walk everywhere. The hotel is old but the rooms were fine, clean and spacious. I would definitely stay here again when in Glasgow.

"Excellent hotel in the perfect location."
We were made to feel very special and welcome on our recent honeymoon. Having been in Glasgow a few times to see family, it was an absolute treat to stay at such a lovely hotel on this occasion. The rooms are fantastic with an amazingly comfortable bed, fully stocked complimentary mini bar, generous bath and sweet tartan decor trimmings. We had breakfast in the restaurant on one day and it didn't quite hit the spot but than would be our only - very slight - disappointment. The location is brilliant, being in the middle of the city and easy walking distance to great restaurants, pubs, bars and attractions. It's also under ten minutes walk to central and Queen St stations as well as the Buchanan bus hub. To finish up, the staff were quite friendly and overall we had a great time - definitely would (and have already) recommend this hotel.

"Funky basic hotel with quirky touches. "
Funky basic hotel with quirky touches. Only downsides - no baths, showers only and no facilities in room to make tea or coffee. No hotel car park, but reimbursed for cost of parking in nearby secure multi-storey car park. Would stay there again for a convenient overnight stop with quirky touches

"Excellent hotel and very accessible to City Centre"
If the hotel had a problem it was that there was no drawers in the bedroom which meant things such as jumpers, tops etc either had to stay in the suitcase or be put in a basket.

Park Inn by Radisson Glasgow City Centre

"Spacious, modern hotel in the heart of Glasgow"
Great hotel in the heart of the city centre! Close to everything. 2 blocks from Buchanan Street, closer to the Buchanan Galleries. Great area - bustling nightlife, but definitely not too loud at night. The rooms are very large for a city hotel, comfortable and clean. No drawers in the rooms, and no couches - very minimalist. Hotel has a functioning elevator, and serves a buffet breakfast in the morning complete with eggs, beans, toast, sausage, bacon, and even haggis (fruits, cheeses, and cereals also available). We were able to access the airport bus at two stops within 1-2 blocks of the hotel, which was very convenient. Staff is helpful and efficient. Great place to stay!

Merchant City is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Merchant City, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Merchant City hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
