Although it's difficult to get there by public transport if youre going to Scotland for the first time, it is so secluded and pretty you won't mind. I went in January when it was slightly frosty and the didn't take away from the beauty of the location. Getting to Edinburgh from the hotel is also easy.
The hotel itself has very comfortable beds I stayed in one of the upstairs rooms. The staff are really helpful and allowed me to check in early. The restaurant is also lovely, with really great fresh food.
Definitely stay there if you want a relaxing break hidden away against fields.

Great location, especially if you get the bus from the Airport, Shuttle 500. I was kindly upgraded to a deluxe room which was very nice. Only drawback was that it faced out to the main street with the bus depot, so there was considerable noise late into the night,
