Lovely hotel.......close to everything, will definitely come here again. Could not fault the food, breakfast was excellent....the room was very comfortable......we were able to use the road network to tour the highlands and also the city centre. it is ideally located for this.

The staff were very friendly and overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Guests will be well looked after, and the hotel's excellent location, gives you direct access to both the airport and the city center. I would say that's the hotel's main selling point, so If you want to get out and about into Edinburgh without any major hassle, then I would highly recommend it - there is a bus and tram service just literally a few minutes from the entrance.

Very good hotel - ideally situated just off the Royal Mile and close to the town centre and transport links. Standard of décor and cleanliness very good. Stayed in the Classic Deluxe room which was a little on the small side but perfectly adequate for a short stay and good value for money. Our room was at the back and on a low floor so we didn't experience the view but it was very quiet. The room and bathroom décor both very good. Didn't use the microwave but the fridge was a very useful addition.

The rooms are ok, not fancy but comfortable. staying in this hotel, convenience is the key. Hotel is close to everything. The computer system is a little outdated, i believe. It took much time to find the booking. during check out, they could not print the bill because it was not shown in their system yet. Said they would email the bill, but still not received it after 5 days.

Got a good deal at the last minute for an overnight stay in Aviemore. First issue I had was that I would be arriving after dark and I had never been to the hotel or resort before. Why is this a problem?
Well, upon driving into the resort I noticed that the road signs were unlit so I couldn't see directions to the hotel. Also when I stopped to see the signs that were there it still wasn't obvious where my hotel was! Eventually found it only to discover it closed! Tried phoning the contact number from Expedia which didn't work. Found the resort number on line and was told I was booked into a different hotel in the resort (which was also difficult to find due to lighting/signage/one way system issues).
Hotel check in was fine and room itself was very nice. Down to on-site restaurant for an evening meal which was nice but expensive. Service was slow so be prepared to wait a while. As a price reference a bottle of Bulmer cider was £5.00.
Next morning had a good breakfast from a substantial hot and cold buffet service. Even got gluten free toast!
Check out was quick due to having no additional costs although the receipt I got indicated a total cost £20.00 less than the Expedia charge. Queried this to be told by the receptionist that the £20.00 must be the Expedia fee. Unsure if this is true but don't remember having this issue before.
Overall a nice hotel but difficult to navigate resort and restaurant is expensive.

This hotel is has changed greatly in the last 15 years. It definately needs updating. My main complaint is the dinning room which is quite the grimmest restaurant I have ever been in especially at breakfast time.
It is in a wonderful situation overlooking the Cairngorms, near Loch Morlich. It is a shame it's full potential has not been exploited.
