We stayed at jury's inn edinburgh at the beginning of August while the fringe festival was on. We checked in late and the staff weren't overly welcoming. The room was fine, could do with a bit of a refresh but comfortable. The only thing that I would of expected was biscuits& hot chocolate with the room refreshments, there was tea& coffee but I have stayed in hotels that are half the price that always have this. A little Scottish shortbread would have been a nice touch. The location is brilliant though, up some stairs and your on Royal Mail. Close to Waverley station too. Really fab city and the fringe was brilliant. The staff never really said hi in passing, we were in the lift with a housekeeping staff member and not even a morning. But I would use again, I have stayed in better branches of jury's inn, Dublin for example was nicer. I would recommend for location alone. Thanks

We had a beautiful view of a castle from our room. However, this is one of the noisiest streets in Edinburgh, so it was hard to sleep without earplugs. Some of the furnishings in the room were outdated but they were functional. The room was very clean. The restaurant where they serve breakfast was very disappointing. They just pushed you to purchase their buffet, which was over-priced with mediocre food. We could walk to everything from this location. The workout room had very limited equipment. Not even one set of hand weights. Don't stay here if you are hoping to get a great workout. They did have a kiosk in the hotel where you can get your Fringe Festival tickets so that was very convenient.
