The house was very clean and in great condition and we were able to see the northern lights right from the house which made it more wonderful 😀

Loved the property but after we left the host tried to scam us by saying we left the place without tidying up. He wanted 1000NOK/£70. I told him we videoed the entire place showing it was spotless before we left, and he quickly told us to not worry about the 1000NOK. The place was also advertised as a 3 bedroom house yet he failed to tell us that one of the bedrooms is his private bedroom and is not to be used! I would return to Finnsnes, but never to this place.

All great. Extraordinary accustoming host. Incredible!!

The staff were helpful and so kind, the room was small but comfortable. The bathroom was great. The spa and gym room was one of the best I’ve seen at a hotel. The breakfast was ok. Everything was smooth.

Upgraded to an Ole Wang Garden cabin at the last minute. The "house" was huge with 4 bedrooms. Kitchenette was well equipped although the utensils and pan were well used to the point the non stick pan was somehow scrapped by some sharp metal utensil (i don't know who/why anyone would think to use metal to scrape a non stick pan). Location is slightly off as you got to drive a few km inward on almost a fairly narrow 2 way road near to the end of fjord. Would be great if there were clear skies during the northern lights season but we had cloudy days, rain and day with strong gusts of wind so strong that the whole cabin creaked every time the gust of wind hit the house. Breakfast is standard buffet which supposedly is only included if you stay in a hotel room and not one of the apartments/cabins.

Accommodations excellent, 2 comfortable bedrooms, one bathroom, living dining area with a kitchenette: fridge, dishwasher, cooktop, no microwave. We had a washing machine too. We were a family of 9 and had 3 rooms (better called apartments) and they were very comfortable indeed. Staff went out of their way to help us when ordering food upon our arrival. Breakfast was included at the hotel and it was amazing. We all loved our stay. Highly recommend it.

Our three‑night stay in the Whale Apartment at Steam pier near Tromsø was genuinely wonderful. The space itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and offered fantastic panoramic views that made every morning feel special. The bed was super comfortable, the apartment was quiet, and the location struck the perfect balance — peaceful, yet still close enough to Tromsø to explore easily. What truly elevated our stay, though, was the exceptional staff. As we checked in, the two young people who welcomed us were an absolute delight. Both the young lady and the young man were wonderfully kind, genuinely helpful, and greeted us with bright, happy smiles that instantly made us feel welcome. Their friendliness and positive energy set the perfect tone for our stay and left a lasting impression. Parking: Parking is straightforward, but you do have to pay, and this is clearly stated in advance. Please don’t take it out on the staff when you arrive — they’re not responsible for the parking fees. Just factor the cost into your budget or choose accommodation with free parking if that suits you better.
