Stayed at the Lindner for 4 nights on business in Leverkusen. Everything was pretty much spot on, including the food. The 5 star rating though is down to the staff.
Everyone at the hotel was helpful and friendly, but the bar staff deserved special praise. The Hotel was really busy on a couple of evenings with large groups of people hitting the bar at the same time - but they were on the ball and on more than one occasion served my colleague and I just as we'd run dry. We had a really good laugh with them too.
I'll definitely be staying here again.

The Hotel Dorint is very comfortable. I had a large room. The bathroom is large. The exercise room is good and open from 7 to 11.
Thing to note the hotel is located across the Rhine east of downtown Cologne. However it is only one train stop from Cologne Messe, where the hotel is located, to the main train station in Cologne. Trains between the two locations run every few minutes.

We enjoyed this hotel very much. We had one of her best night sleep here despite being right across from the train station. The older gentleman at the reception desk was wonderful. Funny, patient and kind.

The fridge in the room was not working. The glass wall in the bathroom tub cum shower was leaking water on to the floor. The fridge was replaced on the second day after repeatedly complaining to the staff nearly 5-6 times. The rooms are neat and clean but these were some irks for me. Location was great especially if you have a car. The reception staff (Fabian) was very helpful , cheerful and informative. Restaurant menu was not good. Not to the expected level. Had very few items. Need more intercontinental items in menu.

Our stay at the Lindner Hotel this time left something to be desired.First of all the fridge didn't work for 2 of our 3 days there. I must say the gentleman from Maintenance was very helpful, and showed real interest in putting things right. It was eventually replaced.
We had to run the bathroom tap for at least half an hour, before we got hot water. When I reported this to reception that night, I was told "well you will just have to run it for another half an hour". The guy from Maintenance came the following morning, but the water was hot, because it had been left running for over half an hour.
There was no handwashing gel or soap by the basin, so we had to use the dispenser in the shower, which was empty on the second day, and not replaced.
We arrived there on the Sunday, and the following day, I went to the bar to get some ice for the the room, and suddenly became invisible. A man & a woman were sitting there (staff), and neither seem to even make eye contact. The lady was on her mobile, and the man was on the landline. I stood there for a while, then just left in disbelief.
The staff at Reception were very friendly, polite & professional.
