"Decent all round based on what you pay"
Check in and out was really simple and overall staff were polite and helpful. Food isnt cordon bleu but theres a really good selection of entirely decent food in abundance. Its an alpine hotel so the rooms are small but that should be expected from anybody one their second ski trip or above. The hotel is very family oriented including evening kids activities in the bar so perhaps a bit off piste for stag / hen dos or lads / girls nights out. Otherwise its not super modern but the facilities all work. The food isnt gourmet but its all pretty good. Its entirely true that you get what you pay for so if you want a chef, butler, butcher, baker and candlestick maker then look elsewhere. We had a great stay!

"Above the village of Montchavin"
Expedia stated we should arrange with hotel if we were going to arrive after the reception shut at 8 pm. the phone number supplied by Expedia was not answered and therefore useless. we had a very stressful time outside the hotel trying to get our room. Eventually we were able to check in and the staff were excellent. Our room was very good with a balcony overlooking the village. The hotel asked for a voucher for our stay. I contacted Expedia to find out about this. Problem was that Expedia had the wrong email address for the hotel. I've had umpteen trips with Expedia. This was the first where problems occurred.

Very nice hotel. Truly ski in ski out with good ski facilities on site. Rooms are basic but good since you're basically skiing all day. Showers, at least ours, are anemic and lifeless. Overall, very positive stay.

"Comfy and great location but a couple of tips..."
Beds comfortable. Blackout windows good. Quiet location. WIFI unreliable. Not ski in ski out for all guests - depends which chalet you are in. Reception not there all the time. Staff polite but not forthcoming with information - you need to ask e.g. ask reception how to get to pool when they are there and when they are not (two different methods). If leaving out of reception hours ask carefully where to leave your key. Soleil centre around 3 mins walk. Skiset right next door.

"Ski Belle Plagne"
Pierre & Vacance Residence Andromede was the final destination of my stay (also the main reception area). P&V own 4 or 5 hotels in Belle Plagne, all situated in the same location, but upon arrival you can end up being situated in any of these. I booked a P&V stay because I've used them before, I wasn't surpprised with what I got. The rooms are pretty much identical in design/layout across France. They have all the amenities you need, kitchen, dishwasher, cooker, TV and such. which is all you need. What is most important is the view outside the window in the winter months. This hotel offers Ski in/Ski out and is located at the top of the resort in Belle Plagne. A boot room is available, although I never used it. A SKI SET rental shop is next door, along with a supermarket opposite. Important with a self cantering apartment. I found the resort of Belle Plagne fantastic! The amount of ski area is imense, I was with my 4y old daughter, so didn't get to use it to full capacity. 75% of runs in my opinion were Blue, although occasionaly became a Red, in steep sections. The resort offers so much variety of things to do: Ski by torch light at night. Skiidoo's An Olympic Bobsled Run An Ice Grotto, carved out of the Glacier Outdoor Swimming Pool, and lots more..... There is a free bus shuttle between other Plagne resorts. Belle Plagne also has a 'Bubble' which runs till 1am, up & down to Plagne Bellecote, the resort below. An awesome resort, that I will return to!

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
