Tourist trap to be avoided at all costs. One of the most expensive places to stay on San Andres and not worth a fraction of the price. Food/Dining area filthy. The food mediocre at best, Grounds in disrepair. The pool extremely overcrowded, very noisy and essentially useless. Place not convenient to ANYTHING. Not walkable. No public transportation. You are stuck here except for $30USD cab rides. NO WIFI On property except IN THE LOBBY … where everyone is trying to use one weak signal. Would never stay here again. I abandoned my room immediately after getting there. The staff was not concerned about my complaints and gave me their corporate website to file a complaint and seek refund. Refund was refused so I lost all my money. That’s how bad it was. I preferred to pay for another place rather than stay at this terrible property.

I’ve been coming to San Luis Beach Hotel in San Andrés for years. It was never a perfect property, but what always made it special was the peaceful beachfront atmosphere and direct access to one of the best stretches of beach on the island. Unfortunately, that peace is now gone. The hotel is now offering day passes, allowing outside guests to come in, drink, party, and overcrowd the beach area with wristbands. What used to feel relaxing and exclusive now feels busy and chaotic. Instead of focusing on bringing in large groups for day access, management should invest more into improving and maintaining the property itself. The location is incredible, but the overall guest experience has clearly changed. I truly hope whoever made this decision reconsiders it, because longtime guests who loved this hotel for its calm atmosphere are noticing the difference.
