"Average Hotel, great people and beaches around"
You will not find 5* quality in San Andres, but hotel is not that bad, it is just average. The AC in our first room didn't work well at all. The front desk staff is of very little help for anything, and is not concerned at all with resolving a problem in a timely manner. So after being told to stay in that room and wait till they could find something open.... I just walked around our building and had the maid let me into various rooms that were available to check the AC, then told the front desk staff which room I found and wanted to switch to.... problem solved. Our maid was so nice and accommodating, working around our schedule to clean our room and not bother us, and she was 10x the help of the front desk staff for advice on things and places to do on the island, so I tipped her very well. The girl at the travel agency was helpful also. The hotel front desk staff, in my opinion were useless, and unresponsive. San Andres is definitely a step or two below all other beach destinations I've been to in Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, as far as accommadations, amenities and infrastructure.... and really overpriced for what you get. But it is cool to see at least once, and it is easy for my Colombian girlfriend to travel there w/o a visa since it is a Colombian territory. Spanish is a must in San Andres. I speak enough to get around just fine. You might be able to get by with only English, but you'd be missing a lot. All tours, excursions and shows are in Spanish.

"Minor Problems Overcome by Great Staff"
Overall we had a great trip to San Andres and still believe this was the best hotel to stay at. Currently, the rooms are outdated but they are working hard on renovations. The staff is extremely friendly. They do everything to keep you entertained from Bingo to Water Polo and fun shows at night. They have a boat that goes to the Aquarium which is great. Food is also good and varied.

"Nice hotel in front of the beach and shopping area"
The hotel is very nice, staff is very polite and helpful. It has an excellent ballet that performs excellent shows every night next to the pool or on a nearby hotel of the same owners where you can go. Location is excellent, across a really nice pedestrian street you have the beach. That street is full of people all day and youngsters gather there at night (a bit noisy if you stay in a room facing the sea). It is in the middle of the shopping area which is mostly pedestrian only streets, a really nice place to walk. It has a kids place beside the entrance, outside the hotel. Meals are OK but mostly local food. International food only in snack times (pizza, fries, hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, nuggets, etc.) Internet connection is free but it is really slow. Really hard to download and upload WhatsApp images for example.

"Decent clean hotel with friendly staff."
I was very happy with the cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were basic but up to date and clean with no unusual odors. Linens were fresh. There was a good air conditioner in the room. The staff was friendly and were able to speak english. They helped us with recommendations for hotels and renting a motor bike. You can hear the airplanes overhead at night and the location is not ideal, but the area is so small that it doesn't take long to get anywhere you need to go by walking, taxi or motor bike.

San Andres is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in San Andres, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your San Andres hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
