"RIGHT on the beach"
If beach access is your priority, this fits. Restaurant pricey, and no good place to read, but loved easily jumping into the waves.

"Nice quiet well kept place in convenient location"
Very nice people here. I wanted a place where I could store my stuff (for a reasonable fee) while I hiked the Kalalau Trail for a few days. They obliged and were very easy and friendly to deal with throughout. I will stay again.

"Noisy ground floor units"
Be warned: do not stay in a bottom unit. We atYed on the ground level and heard the people on the floor above us 24/7. Plus we constantly heard water flowing from somewhere. Besides those things , we had a nice time. The Banyan is in a great location.

Everything was great. Except the comfort of sleeping was very poor. The beds were doubles placed on queen frames. The mattresses were not very good and the pillows were flat. I woke up every morning with a stiff neck and my back hurting. I feel the hotel cheaped out on the comfort of its guests sleeping comfort. As a guest, sleeping is a key element to a great hotel. I have stayed at this hotel 13 years ago and the beds were not like they are now.

"Very close to beach"
Pool was nice, mini fridge and a quiet hotel to just rest our head. Fans in rooms with screen door made for comfortable sleep without AC. Joined with one of my favorite dinner spots.

"Nice hotel with very few problems. "
We had a pleasant stay at Wyndham Bali Hai Villas. You can find almost everything you need in the room, it is quite spacious and comfortable. The issues that I would like to mention are very few but: - The towel exchange service must be improved. I sometimes had to call three times for the same towels to be exchanged. - Check out process was rude; we had a phone call (probably from reception) which I did not pick up at 10.00 am. When I went to the reception to return the room keys, the only sentence I heard before any greeting, any politeness was "we checked you out at 10 am. this morning". As a note, I heard this sentence at 10.12 am at a place where we stayed for seven nights.

"Nice, quiet hotel"
This hotel is not your average resort complex nor is it in the middle of action. It's actually located near a boat dock and in the middle of a neighborhood with lots of chickens and roosters crowing. This is nice after a long day of touring the island, and one can come relax at a hotel with easy parking, nice scenery, cool pool, lack of crowds and small children, and comfortable room. Room does have AC, but it is a window unit that has to be turned off during the day. Early morning breakfast was simple but perfect, ice available, washing machines and dryers available, and lovely Hawaiian trees and flowers adorn the walkways. We stayed a week and loved the atmosphere and enjoyed our stay.

"Good size room"
Everything was lovely except there is only an ax in the bedroom and not the rest of the condo. And used loud construction equipment way early in am, should have been pushed out to at least 9 or 10 am. Not conducive if wanting to sleep in on vacation!

Kilauea is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Kilauea, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Kilauea hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
