The staff and guests here were very friendly. The rural location is relaxed with spots to sit around the pool and grounds. The cats come looking for attention, while the chickens and peacocks come looking to steal food. The continental breakfast is nice with plenty of cereal, bagels, muffins, yogurt and fruit to get your day started! The rooms are old and tired looking. When packing to leave, I noted dust on the lamp stand, baseboard trim and lower furniture. If I had noticed it earlier, I would have requested a cleaning when the housekeeper inquired about my needs. With the local bridge closed to cars during repairs, reaching nearby destinations was more time consuming. I’m sure the staff and guests are looking forward to it being reopened.

Very quaint family type. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Coffee bar available 24 hours, nice! Grounds were well taken care of. Free amenities for beach was especially appreciated. Rooms could use updated. Grouting in bathroom etc. Odd things, but it wouldn’t repel us from going back.

Room was clean and service was amazing. The flies out by the lanai area was a hot mess. Paid to get access to the lanai only to be chased inside by flies. Could not use it to eat or sit to work on laptop. If they fixed the flies it would have been better than okay. If there were a chair to sit on for 2 ppl. We sat on the bed, ate standing up. Having a chair to sit would have been great. There is 1 chair in the room

The hotel advertises a room for 3 that sleeps 2. Booked a room for 3 and then you get a room with one king and no sofa or any other type of bed. Barely would give me a blanket to sleep on a hardwood floor for 3 person

I felt like I was in Hawaii 5-0 in the best way possible. It was so dated but it felt like an awesome retro stay. The staff was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the area and gave great tips. It’s a budget friendly place that over delivers. The breakfast is not as others have said, it’s just a regular breakfast, bagels and coffee, no hot stuff but it definitely served its purpose. Especially since most hotels don’t offer food included at all. I would definitely stay there again.

WE arrived at this Quaint out of the way hotel to a very great staff. The atmosphere at The Kaua'i Inn is very relaxing. They have Live music 3 nights a week and one night they show a movie. The owner is always available with Stories and advice on Dining and other questions. We will definitely make a return to this Oldest hotel in Hawaii.
