The staff and guests here were very friendly. The rural location is relaxed with spots to sit around the pool and grounds. The cats come looking for attention, while the chickens and peacocks come looking to steal food. The continental breakfast is nice with plenty of cereal, bagels, muffins, yogurt and fruit to get your day started! The rooms are old and tired looking. When packing to leave, I noted dust on the lamp stand, baseboard trim and lower furniture. If I had noticed it earlier, I would have requested a cleaning when the housekeeper inquired about my needs.
With the local bridge closed to cars during repairs, reaching nearby destinations was more time consuming. I’m sure the staff and guests are looking forward to it being reopened.
