"Hotel with view on the lake"
Very nice hotel, very well located. We had a room with view on the mirror lake. There is a pool and spa. Relaxing in the spa after a hicking day is a real pleasure.

"Grand old hotel. Great owners"
Beautiful old hotel. Excellent location! The great room is gorgeous. The rooms are adequate, updated bathrooms. Overall, the hotel is a little tired looking, but the beds were decent. The walls are thin, so you could hear your neighbours talking. The owners are super friendly and helpful. The onsite BBQ place was pretty tasty, but is only open for lunch and early dinner (closes at 8:30). Parking was easy, WIFI was great, hot water was on point, and free morning coffee.

"Great Hotel"
Excellent breakfast, close to ski hill and in center of lake placid town. Owner recommended Black Bear restaurant for supper and our meal was super. Really enjoyed our ski trip. Our friends were really impressed as they had never been to Lake Placid skiing.

"Great view and location in Lake Placid."
Love being perched on the hill above the lake with easy access to all area attractions, etc. Food was good, room was good, pool/gym were good, there wasn't anything about this hotel that we didn't like. Great for kids, etc. Comfy, cozy, nice.

"A perfectly functional hotel with great location"
I booked this hotel fairly late and decided to ignore some of the reviews I saw on here + TripAdvisor as I hoped that some people just either expect too much or are way too fussy. I was right! This place is in a superb location for easily walking down to Mirror lake and all along main street where the shops, bars, and restaurants are. Is the hotel 5 star luxury? No, but then again they don't claim to be. Are some of the carpets in the main areas a bit worn - Yup - in fact the whole hotel could do with a bit of a spruce up, but the lack of a coat of paint and some nicer carpet did not upset me or my family in the slightest. The rooms were perfectly fine. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean, shower was....well, wet and hot! As a family of five the suite option was excellently priced. It's essentially two adjoining rooms however only one access door which meant we could give the kids their "own room" knowing they couldn't wander out of their door as they had to come through our room. Other complaints I saw were about the breakfast. Well it's advertised - small donuts and a coffee. But why would you want to eat here anyway. Due to the location you can grab a quick coffee and stroll down to the main street where you have your pick of places for some truly wonderful breakfasts. Overall this hotel was just what it needed to be. A perfectly functional 3 star-ish hotel that was comfortable, welcoming, and within 2 minute stroll of what you've actually come here to see.

"Worth the Trip"
The Haus is in the perfect location to enjoy the beautiful Village of Lake Placid. Very close to shopping and restaurants; literally across the street is a wonderfully restored movie theater. The woman who checked us in was welcoming; polite and very helpful with parking instructions. The rooms were spacious and clean; fully stocked kitchen which would suit a family perfectly. Even though we were located on the street side of the building the noise level was not an issue. You will find nice Aveeda toiletries in the bathroom but remember to bring your hair dryer. The weather was not the best and it was nice to see umbrellas available for guest use as well. Also we found recommendations for places for dinner and things to do during our visit. We tried the Pickled Pig for dinner and would definitely return.

Keene Valley is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Keene Valley, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Keene Valley hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
