This is an older property that has recently been mostly renovated. The rooms were clean, spacious and nicely updated. The front desk and housekeeping staff was great. The staff by the pool seemed disinterested and the towel card policy was awkward (apparently they charge you if you don't return pool towels). The food was fine though the restaurant was in the lower lobby with limited views. The main restaurant area with the best views has not yet been renovated, nor has the spa. Parking was convenient. The partial ocean view room was great. This property is one of the southernmost resorts near Kona. We found that farther south, afternoons were often more cloudy than places to the north in March when we visited. Overall a solid value for the money if you plan to get out and explore the island.

Besides the first night where we arrived at 5pm and didn’t get into our room until nearly 830pm, the rest of our time there was great. The staff was wonderful and the property is beyond gorgeous! We would definitely stay again.

We had a club suite on the 4th floor overlooking the water. The view was great and the room had a sitting room and bedroom which gave us lots of space. This room also came with a free buffet cooked breakfast and happy hour. The food was tasty and differant everyday offering warm dishes, salads and fresh fruits.

Beautiful resort. Only negative is that the only restaurant on site has no kids menu or lunch/dinner that young children would eat. We had to leave daily to find food. They have a market which does have microwavable Mac n cheese and some other stuff but I would expect More from a luxury resort.

Bell hops were outstanding! Services, nit so much. Front desk was great on arrival deparrure not so much. Facilities were clean. Power outlets in room did not work. Hotel staff did not refresh linen or towels twice during our stay. Got tons of wash cloths though. Food at Piko was average. Food at V/47 was good. A special shout out to my man Fred and that staff. They were pleasant and inviting. Places are shut down... looks like prep for remodel. Nothing was stated prior to purchasing package. Don't be staying at Outrigger Kona in the future. Just not the experience expected for the price. Average.

This resort was a great choice for our honeymoon! The grounds were gorgeous, & there were trails where you could walk around the property & near the shore. The pools were very nice!! Just a bit cold lol but you got used to it. The water slide was fun too. We also loved the Holoholo Market that was there. They were great for a morning coffee or a light snack. Highly recommend this resort!

The resort, grounds and views were beyond beautiful! My only complaint would be the food was all extremely expensive and not many choices. If they fix that it is perfect! I would definitely go back, just recommend eating offsite.
