Beautiful tile work and good location in medina but close enough to edge to find easily. Very gracious staff with very limited English.

The location is about a 15 minute walk from the Main Street in the Medina and Fez is a maze. Google Maps works okay but Apple Maps didn’t work well at all. There are no shops near the Riad itself. The staff was friendly and ended up upgrading my room, which was nice. There was definitely some price gouging issues though. Don’t let them take you shopping, they’re fishing for a kick back from the sellers. Also, if they order you a taxi, it will be twice to three times as much if you just walk to a gate and get one on your own.

This Riad is special, a little oasis in the medina. Communication with the team was excellent with Yasmine getting in touch straight away to help us make the most of our short trip to Fes. Definitely worth getting both the transfer from the train station to the Riad and also a guide for an afternoon to explore the medina. Our welcome was so warm and friendly we instantly felt at home - Yasmine, Alex, Said, Douaa and Mohammed all were so kind and lovely. We had dinner on our first night up on the roof terrace which was lovely. We stayed in the Diamond suite and it was beautiful - decorated with antiques and so much space. The whole Riad is decorated with antiques finds and rich fabrics evoking a bygone era. Many thanks to the team for making our short stay so memorable and we hope to visit again!

The property is beautiful. It's a sprawling resort with areas outdoors in the woods near a cascading springs that I enjoyed sitting at. I liked the lobby, the swimming pools and the exercise room. Checking in was easy. You're sat in the very nice lobby and you're greeted with a nice apple lemon ginger juice while the check in is proceeding. The staff is very nice, attentive and professional. The room is very nice, nicely decorated and the linen is crispy clean white cotton. The appetizers in the lobby were very good. But the drinks are crazy expensive. There were a few glitches: my minibar was empty. This is an expensive hotel. When I brought this issue to the management, they offered to fill it. But it did seem to me as if they were cutting corners. Also, my room was dark. The lighting was dim and not enough to read. It was a room to just retire to and go to bed and watch TV. It's unpleasant to not have enough light in a room, especially if you want to read. In the daytime, the room tends to be dark in the part away from the window. When I brought this matter to the management, they offered to upgrade me to a suite. However, the sitting room in the suite was even darker while the bedroom was brighter. I thus declined the upgrade. The lobby is very nice but it too needs a bit more lighting in some spots. I had to look for a corner with enough light to read the menu and see my food. The drinks are crazy expensive. But overall a very nice stay.
