"Worked for me as a single traveller - good deal"
The hotel is clean and the staff friendly /attentive and it is in reasonable decorative order - it suited my need for a base whilst visiting friends on the island and is in a good position overlooking the bay - the only negative that struck me was is if there were two of you as the double bed was 'small' and against the wall which gave the impression of space but would make getting in and out of bed difficult and the room a bit cramped although I appreciate it is an older building with many constraints - the fitted furniture makes it impossible to move the bed to gain access on both sides however it had a very good shower and hot water which overshadows this observation in my view :-)

"Our Best Wester stay in Douglas, Isle of Man."
Double room with a small balcony over looking the Bay of Douglas. The room consisted of a double bed freshly made each day, a comfy seat and occasional table. A dressing table/desk which had a tv. Tea , coffee , hot chocolate, milk and sugar and a pack of two biscuits were left daily. Two draws and a double wardrobe with coat hangers. An ironing board and iron also a fan provided. A large mirror and hairdryer. The bathroom was a shower over the bath, toilet and wash bowl. Shampoo conditioner and body wash was provided daily with clean towels. There was a restraunt and bar, the staff were very well presented, professional and pleasant. The food was exceptional. The gym, pool and steam room were a good addition.

"Check your booking. "
On arrival at Mereside to check in, one of us was given a room as requested with lift access and walk in shower, the other was given a room in Rosslyn, at the top of a flight of stairs - when this was queried we were told that the request was oinly for the one room, later refuted by the manager. After seeing the manager the next morning to ask why this was so, he then managed to find a room in Mereside as requested. We have booked in the HQ group 4 times now and on 2 occasions there was a problem with the reservation. The first time resulting in us staying in another hotel entirely, at their expense!

"Great, nice room but water from toilet leaked"
Stayed in the self contained apartment. The whole apartment is comfortable and had everything we need. Felt just like at home. All rooms had tv.cooking utencils were complete.even had a dishwasher.the hotel needs to take better photos of the apartment because it really is great. However the water from the toilet in one of the rooms is leaking into the room. By the second day, the room was smelling bad.

Overall OK, although I have a complaint to about the girl (petition, burnet) that received me when I was checking in, as she was very unwelcoming. Not only she didn't even say hi when I got to the hotel, but she didn't even ask my name; it was earlier fir the checking and I wanted to know if there was a chance of my room being ready anyway, but she didnt even bother looking and sent me away. Unfortunately, she was there when I left the hotel, and again she didn't even bother saying hi, she just throw me a very rude 'I'm on the phone'. The rest of the staff was ok, Jake was very helpful on site and via email. The only other downside is that from my room you could hear a lot of cutlery noise, which got me up at 5 am my first night, although I was on a rth floor.

"The Chesterhouse Hotel"
Quick n easy check in & out with friendly reception staff. Plenty breakfast choice & gluten free toast available as requested. Good location on the promenade but a nightmare for parking with a 2 hour restriction and lack of spaces, Ok on a Sunday. Good power shower The room size was small but adequate but would have benefited from air con. Unfortunately it was in the middle / rear section of hotel and a little noisy from the back alley. Easy walking distance to ferry terminal, shops, restaurants. Plenty interesting places to visit: Peel Castle, Ramsay, Port Erin, Laxey Wheel.

Isle of Man is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Isle of Man, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Isle of Man hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
