It was a clean and comfortable room, staff were friendly and hard working. There were events going on at the hotel both days we were there that closed the restaurant and bar, unless you wanted to have an India themed buffet dinner one night, you were out of luck. The breakfast was served, but then things immediately shut down for the event. There was a very limited room service menu available, and since hotel is in an office park, no restaurants close by. Since restaurant is advertised as on site, likely would not have chosen here if we knew bar and restaurant would not be available.

Perfect place for a romantic winter getaway. Stunning grounds, great room with lovely views, the lodge was cozy and the food was great - the breakfast in particular was amazing. Dinner was expensive but it didn’t disappoint and convenient onsite. No TV in the room but no need with the cozy fireplace. Bed was comfortable with nice linen. Mini fridge, good tea and coffee making facilities. Spa bath wasn’t working unfortunately but enjoyed the sauna. Would 100% recommend this place for a couple. Would also be a great place for a small conference, executive meeting or retreat.

If you are looking for a nice, relaxing B & B this place is for you. I've always said my wife was born 100 years too late because she loves the Victorian era. This is a well maintained Victorian house. We stayed in the Victorian Room. My wife loved the huge slipper tub. John - the owner - is one of the most pleasant, caring, helpful person you will ever meet. He is a wealth of knowledge and can recommend things to do. The house is walking distance to pretty much everything you would need - ferries to Devonport and Waiheke Island, the train to take you pretty much everywhere letting you tag on and off whenever you want. Thank you John for your kind heart, wonderful conversations, and you willingness to help with anything we needed. If we could give more than 5 stars we would!!

The hotel is located in a great spot, the room was clean and a good size, and pretty quiet. Would have loved to have seen options for recycling in or near the room. My only frustration was the breakfast, it is a good spread but I don’t recommend it for vegans. Many of the options I normally see at a hotel breakfast had animal products , including the coconut chia, sautéed mushrooms and the sourdough sign indicated it contained egg. The fruit options were good, and there was cereal and toast so we were all good. Long story short, it was fine, but for the price, I’ve definitely had better.

Nice and clean and spacious but a bit out of the way

Great central location and great hotel - casino is only downside

Well located in center city Auckland, we were able to easily walk to the restaurant packed wharf area and the ferry terminals. Enjoyed the breakfast package which was included with our room. Stylish modern decor throughout the hotel (loved the bathroom design) and, importantly, comfortable beds made our stay an enjoyable one.
