"Boutique hotel with great food and lovely library"
It's our second time at the hotel and I appreciated the extra mile the staff took to change our room upon arrival as we didn't like the bathtub being a feature within the bedroom rather than in a separate bathroom.
I was disappointed that the housekeeping didn't replenish the complimentary bottled water every day and towards our 3rd day of stay our tea bags were also not replenished.
I like the charming library which we can use to meet up with friends over drinks. The breakfasts at the Bistro were also something to look forward to in the mornings.

We enjoyed out stay at Marriot Hotel in Alwalton. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom with the various soaps, shampoos was excellent. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This is a very modern hotel the staff were lovely and the rooms were excellent and spacious. Loved the cafetière coffee in the room. The roof top bar is great with views across Cambridge. Breakfast had everything you would need and have to say there about the best croissants Ive had.
Cambridge was a lovely place and I would defiantly stay at the varsity again, thanks for a great stay.

Huntingdon is a thriving market town about 20 miles northwest of Cambridge. Its most celebrated resident was Oliver Cromwell who was born in the town in 1599. Huntingdon retains its medieval bridge across the Great Ouse, and boasts England's largest meadow. The George Hotel stages Shakespeare plays in the summer, and horse-racing fans can enjoy a meet at the local racecourse.
