Overall very pleasant stay. The resort grounds were beautiful ! The staff were incredibly nice ! My only complaint is the rooms were pretty outdated. The carpeting in the living room was dirty and needed a good shampoo. The master bathroom tub looked and felt dirty. The grouting and baseboards around the walls were caked with dust. The living room couch was worn and very uncomfortable. The kitchen was fairly well appointed, it had the very basic tools for cooking. I was really disappointed to find the condo had no beach chairs. Every other time we've been to Hawaii, the condo we stayed in had them. Renting them was both expensive and a hassle. All things considered, I feel the money we payed for resort stay was fair and comparable. Upon check in, you are approached about time share sales. Having read prior reviews, I made it very clear that I am not interested and I wasn't bothered after that. Overall, I would stay here again.

"Beautiful setting."
The master shower didn't work well, the place needed some deep cleaning and maintenance. But it was well equipped.

"Nice quiet well kept place in convenient location"
Very nice people here. I wanted a place where I could store my stuff (for a reasonable fee) while I hiked the Kalalau Trail for a few days. They obliged and were very easy and friendly to deal with throughout. I will stay again.

"Nice hotel with amazing staff"
Our stay was amazing! The concierge was open 24/7 and always very helpful. There was also an activities advisor that informed us of things to do on the island and helped us book activities. It was amazing to be able to loan beach equipment (chairs, towels, umbrellas, cooler, pool toys) and rent things like snorkel gear. The room was spotless and matched the description exactly. Smelled a little musty at first but easily aired out.

"Nice resort "
Resort has two pools. Our suite had 2 bedroom. Lots of space with a kitchen, dinning room, living room and two bathrooms. Our suite had an AC. The resort doesn't have a restaurant on the site;however, shops and restaurants are located within few minutes of drive. Overall, enjoyed staying at the resort.

Hanalei Bay Resort

"Short walk to cute beach shared with St. Regis"
The property is a time share, so you won't get housekeeping services every day like at a regular hotel. The pool is big, free-form, landscaped with lots of greenery, waterfalls, hot tub (and I mean hot) and swim-up bar. Room 5104 in Hala was lower level but had a good view of the mountains and bay, also the lanai felt nice and private. Room was spacious and there's a mini-fridge in room. Split system AC was quiet and efficient. Bathroom had no exhaust fan so bath towels never really dried out. Shower had very low water pressure. You can get a ride down to the beach and back on a golf-cart shuttle but it's a short walk down a paved path. It is a hill so if you're loaded up with gear coming back up you might want the ride. You can rent beach equipment (snorkel stuff, chair, umbrella, etc.) at poolside gear hut. Bar/lounge had good live music and friendly bar service, food wasn't bad either. Make a reservation early if you want a table.

"Wonderful place to stay"
For value, location, and service, the Cliffs at Princeville strikes the right balance. Close to "all things" north shore, the Cliffs rental units are "Ono" (the best). We had the one bedroom which featured a glassed in shower in the master with two different shower heads, and a unique sink. The guest bath had a tub with similar shower heads and sink. Included was a full kitchen, living room with sleeper sofa, and dining room. I can recommend you consider this resort when planning your trip to Kauai.

"Nice condos overlooking the Na Pali coast"
Many of the condos at perched near the cliff and look out West, toward the Na Pali coast. One can also see part of Hanalei Bay. Those condos have gorgeous sunsets, but they also get hot in the afternoon. Fortunately, the bedrooms stay fairly cool. The grounds are pleasing, there's a pool, and the keys can be picked up on site (although the staff may not always be in the office even during office hours). Our kitchen was well-appointed. The condo included a washer and dryer and beach towels.

Haena is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Haena, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Haena hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
