There is no shuttle as such a hotel staff drops one off at the airport in her personal car so again if there is lot of luggage one has a problem. For one night after dropping off the car and with an early morning flight it was good enough. I had no greater needs so it sufficed. But as a place to stay in Reykjavik it is not great. One point check in luggage and security at kef airport is horrible. So you need at least three hours to be safe even for EU Flights

Rooms were not cleaned on arrival. A phone call to the inn keeper was successful in getting someone to come out immediately to clean the guest house. For the price of this rental, the property was tired and rundown. The shower overflowed/leaked. The kitchen was nice even though we did not use it.

Location was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Coffee machine was always available and breakfast buffet was good.

The host was amazingly helpful getting us into the apartment, as we had arrived early. She allowed us in to store our luggage while we got some lunch. The apartment was spacious and comfortable beds/pillows. Close to the Harbour and restaurants. The couch in the living area was extemely uncomfortable and broken. This should be replaced for future guests. Otherwise very pleased with our choice at Kartuki.

Had a terrible experience in this hotel. It’s self checkin and spooky with no one to help or attend to you. If you’re a solo traveler make sure you demand few things They gave me a room in their outdoor terrace on the highest floor all the way at the building corner. It was isolating uncomfortable. Very spooky I requested for a change & no one responds for hours. I compromised and slept and woke up in terror with my room door flung open- vvvv scary and unacceptable. They finally transferred me to another room Big inconvenience. Horrible experience leading to a poor stay in the city. Shower doesn’t have a door and water leaks out all the way Don’t choose if alone esp female
