Corner coffee nice. I’m on train a lot so easy for that. Walk to train for tram. Bus in front. Train to Monaco. And train bus to st tropez. Staff very nice. I’m so busy only went out one night. Solo traveler but people are always walking to train station. No elevator but ac a plus.

Bien localisé près de la gare, jolies chambres mais besoin de remplacer la moquette par du parquet. C’est plus hygiénique. Le nettoyage des chambres est très basique, mais tout le reste est très bien.

The reason I pick members of The Leading Hotels of the World is not only because the properties and locations are exceptional and always in the very center of a city or the best spot on a beach. Villa Maia is not. It’s situated on a long and steep hill and you need a taxi to go everywhere and no other restaurants, cafes or stores nearby. While the room was fairly large the bathroom was small. Also the place felt unfinished: they have an indoor pool with a cool hot tub and nice lounge chairs right in front but the windows don’t open and you have to go through the bar area to go to the pool. It would have been much better if they would have sliding doors to create a seamless indoor-outdoor experience or built an outdoor pool area instead of the grass/weed area. It feels like they run out of money.

Beautiful hotel with exceptional service.

The location was within easy walking distance of the railway station and everything that Menton offered. Our room was light and airy with good air conditioning but we were a little apprehensive about security as the French windows opened on to a communal balcony. The swimming pool was warm and pleasant but a lack of changing facilities was an issue. The wellness centre had to be booked (for fee). Only here were there changing rooms.
