"Only hotel with a view!"
The staff was friendly. The hotel itself needs a facelift. The beds were super comfy! I think they should work on there continental breakfast have it out till 10:00 some of us try to sleep in .When we went down there were no muffins left.As far as the no smoking policy I get it but there should be a spot somewhere comfortable to be able to accommodate that

"Hotel close to beach"
The hotel room was clean. It was a bit muggy. It was close to the beach and it was cheaper than most hotels in the area which was nice.

"Nice Hotel right across from the beach. Nice pool."
Hotel was very nice. No refrigerator in the rooms. They charge $100.00 per day to your credit Card for incidentals. A little steep when staying for a long period.

"Affordable hotel close to the seawall"
I had a really great stay on my short, 2 night vacation to Galveston. Days Inn was very reasonably priced, and while it's very close to the seawall, it's not directly on the seawall. It sits directly behind Best Western, and Best Western is on the seawall. The room looked updated, and was very clean. I loved that it had a microwave, refrigerator and a coffee maker. The AC worked great! The water pressure in the shower was great, which is a huge plus for a girl with long hair! There was a good selection of cable channels, the only thing was that every so often the TV would shut off, but it would come right back on. The internet is NOT great, I think because of where the building is situated. I had a room with a view, and it's not the best view, but you can see the ocean. The major down side though is the location. While it's very close to the seawall, it's extremely far down from where most of the restaurants are. It's also not near the good part of the beach. The part of the beach that's closest to Days Inn has large rocks with hardly any shore. You'll need to walk a ways to get to the good part of the beach where you can set up on the beach with your family. There's also no cross walk, and the seawall is an extremely busy street. I was by myself so I didn't mind, but I would be very nervous to cross with small children. And the closest cross walk is a good quarter of a mile. I loved the room, it was very clean, but the location isn't great.

"Excellent stay for a great price"
Stayed one night prior to a cruise. Hotel is a short drive to all of the fun on sea wall & a short drive to the cruise terminal. Employees were super friendly. Rooms were nice & clean. Breakfast wasn't spectacular but still good. Will be staying here from now on when we cruise out of Galveston!

    Explore Galveston

Talk about a split personality. A well-heeled Victorian historic district offsets the sunburnt craziness of spring break at this beach getaway 50 miles southeast of Houston. Only a few of the gorgeous grand dames, such as Moody Mansion, are available for viewing year round, but the Historic Homes Tour opens more in May.

Both an island and a town, Galveston has seen its share of serious storms, most notably in 1900 and 2008. But it always fights back and reopens for business. Take time to eat and shop in the historic Strand District before stopping into Pier 21 Theater or the Texas Seaport Museum to see the 1877 tall ship Elissa.

Freely accessible beaches line the gulf side of the island, but organized Stewart Beach has family-friendly facilities, concessions and games. For even more fun, Pleasure Pier offers amusements and rides. And Moody Gardens’ three glass pyramids contain a rainforest, science exhibits, an aquarium and an IMAX theater. Not tired yet? Nearby Schlitterbahn waterpark can wear the little ones out.
