"Good price for stay"
Hotel not a good place for business trip. But would be a good place as a tourist. No iron or iron board in room, no coffee make or microwave or mini frig. Outstanding places to eat and drink within walking distance.

"Don't choose pay on arrival "
When we arrived at check-in they told us that our reservation had been canceled because our card was declined. I knew that was not correct because we chose the option to pay when we got to the hotel. Fortunately they still had rooms available and we were able to get one of those.

"Ruff appearance but very clean"
We stayed here two nights in late September 2016 and the place was very clean. All the other cheaper hotels were booked so we had this one or an upper end hotel. After we got in the room we were glad we didn't waste the money because this hotel was perfect for a weekend beach trip.

"Nice hotel, close to the beach."
The hotel staff were extremely friendly. The hotel is beautiful. Rooms have balconies so it was nice to sit outside with a glass of wine and look at the beach.

"Our Overnight Stay"
Clean room, fresh, comfortable, convenient to beach and retail shops however the breakfast in the morning was very disappointing. Cold cereal, frozen waffles and coffee/juice. Very disappointing considering what was paid for the room.

    Explore Galveston

Talk about a split personality. A well-heeled Victorian historic district offsets the sunburnt craziness of spring break at this beach getaway 50 miles southeast of Houston. Only a few of the gorgeous grand dames, such as Moody Mansion, are available for viewing year round, but the Historic Homes Tour opens more in May.

Both an island and a town, Galveston has seen its share of serious storms, most notably in 1900 and 2008. But it always fights back and reopens for business. Take time to eat and shop in the historic Strand District before stopping into Pier 21 Theater or the Texas Seaport Museum to see the 1877 tall ship Elissa.

Freely accessible beaches line the gulf side of the island, but organized Stewart Beach has family-friendly facilities, concessions and games. For even more fun, Pleasure Pier offers amusements and rides. And Moody Gardens’ three glass pyramids contain a rainforest, science exhibits, an aquarium and an IMAX theater. Not tired yet? Nearby Schlitterbahn waterpark can wear the little ones out.
