The hotel is listed as non smoking the suites have no smoking signs but the entire 2nd floor smelled of cigarette smoke, the pool filters were not attached and sticking out of the wall of the book, the grill in the bottom was missing the grill and was just an exposed hole. The ac didn’t blow cold.

The continental breakfast was good with different options to choose from Rooms were clean with no visible issues They had to move us to a different room as the tv was not working as the wires looked like a tangled mess

We stayed here for one night during a road trip. Check in was so easy, and the staff w members were helpful and kind. The room itself was very nice, we had one of the drive up rooms which was great as we prefer our vehicle close by. Everything was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Location was perfect, it’s right beside the mall and close to the main highway. I would absolutely stay again. Great value, great experience all around. The onllllly thing that was worth noting is that the walls were not sound proof and I could hear my neighbour snoring loudly all night. Nothing the hotel can do to help that, but bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. If it weren’t for that neighbour, I’d say it was very quiet.

We stayed at By The River Bed&Breakfast for one night in August 2026. This is a large old house, with several large rooms set up for dining and a kitchen on the first floor, and six or eight guest rooms on the second floor. It looks nice but it could use a thorough refresh and cleanup, I've seen way too many cobwebs and peeling paint, and even a spider hanging from the light fixture in our bathroom. Other than that it was reasonably clean. We were hoping for a river view, but there's thick woodland between the house and the river. No front desk to speak of, you must show up between certain hours in the afternoon. We were the first to check in that day, and we were put in a large suite. Turns out that was not our room, and while we were out for a stroll and dinner, our stuff was moved to a regular room... Breakfast is included, you need to write down what you want and the time you'll be downstairs the night before, on an index card. Breakfast was OK, but not great. All in all it was all right, but this place could be great with a bit of effort.
