"It was ok overall, but dirty."
The room was comfortable enough, but we had to remove the mattress cover because it was nasty. Fortunately there was a rubber backing on it that prevented anything from getting to the mattress itself. Once we removed it, there was a brand new mattress under it so we were OK with that. We always use our own pillows. There was a lot of trash under the bed. The AC worked good, we didn't bother with the kitchen, and the TV was good. We requested a room near the exit and they accommodated that with no problems. Staff was very friendly. Hot water is H-O-T!!

" Nice room layout, helpful staff, but..."
Overall this is a great hotel, with friendly staff. The sleeping accommodations fit our needs perfectly and we had an in-room fridge and microwave. The biggest disappointment however, was the pool and pool area. The outdoor pool was freezing and cloudy, the indoor pool was slightly warmer and still cloudy. The hot tub was closed for repair. The other issue was that there were no blankets and pillows for the sleeper sofa. Yes, we could have called the front desk and had some brought up, but it was very late and we were all ready for bed and exhausted. My teenage son opted to just borrow some pillows off the other beds and sleep with a sheet rather than wait for housekeeping. These items should already be in the room imo.

"All Glitz NO Glamour"
Upon arrival the check in clerk was unable to locate me due to me using the suffix on my name of JR. Expedia flipped it in from of my last name so the clerk when through additional searches for 10min before finding my reservation. There weren't enough luggage carts so I had to make multiple trips from the lobby to the 6th floor. FYI the King Suite's only difference from the regular King room was a wet bar sink for about $60 more per night. NOT worth it. The room itself was nice but there was a wet spot in the floor near the bathroom. Later that evening as my family was preparing to go to bed we found out that the hose for the shower hand held had a leak that made water shoot across the bathroom in addition to the control knob coming off. As if things couldn't get any worse the bathroom sink was stopped up. So at 1;30A I had to go down to the front desk to address these issues and of course there wasn't any maintenance on duty at that time. The shift manager as compensation offered us a different room and gave us a $70 meal credit for the restaurant which unknowingly to me that it had to be used all at once. The following morning we moved to a different suite which was much better despite the shower water control knob almost coming off.

Downers Grove is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Downers Grove, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Downers Grove hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
