"Easy driving into Oxford - 6 miles."
Booked for double bed on Expedia, stated on booking confirmation but at hotel said twin booked. However after a day, a double became available which was reserved for us, but by this time we has settled into our room with the twin beds pushed together to make a king size bed.

"wonderful location, lovely traditional style hotel"
Lovely English style hotel, with everything you need. Very close walk to all the wonderful attractions in Oxford, yet far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. The onsite restaurant had an excellent choice and the food was beautiful. Just a couple of moments with staff not understanding my requests, however that may have been my Australian accent! Highly recommended not only for visiting the local area, but as a base to roam around the countryside.

"Nice hotel, great location"
I stayed here on a Monday night. Check in was easy and quick (despite the breakfast sales pitch!). Staff are very friendly and professional. My room was clean, quite small but space was maximised. It's heading towards needing a redecoration though. It felt more targeted to someone on a business trip (desk was half the size of the bed!) But good for a night. The products are a very generous size but only shower gel and shampoo (no body lotion). There is air con and it works well! I didn't hear any noise from street/other guests. All in all a pleasant stay.

"Great location but very dated "
We stayed for one night at the Forbury so we could be bright and early to attend daughters graduation ceremony. Hotel was is a great location right next to Carluccios and a couple of minutes from the Oracle. It's a great looking building from the front too - and from the courtyard. Lovely architecture. The staff were great but as for being 5 star, well it might have been once upon a time. We stayed in one of the apartments which was huge and there were only the two of us. Two bedrooms with ensuites and a separate cloakroom. It also had a huge lounge and kitchen - though we couldn't fathom out how to get a picture on the TV!! Think that may have been user error!!! Rooms were good and sort of clean but carpets were badly marked in places making them look dirty and tiles in bathroom were stained. The area by the lifts as well as the lifts themselves could probably benefit from a refurb. Kitchen was pretty spotless. We had to walk from reception to the apartments which were at the back and we went down a staircase by the kitchen where the carpet looked like something Mum had in her house in the 70's and while nothing wrong with a bit of retro it did have a bit of a bad foody sort of smell as you walked there. It did lead to a lovely courtyard garden. Shame but we never had time to try it out. I'd stay there again but if you are looking for 5 star this maybe isn't the one.

Centrally placed hotel with pool and spa. Comfy well appointed rooms. Just missing a few tricks, for example, the pool area could be checked more thoroughly for cleanliness. The sauna wasn't working on Sunday morning. Plus there needs to be more staff serving at peak times, late weekend breakfast and at checkout times.

"Lovely Hotel"
Unforutunately I didnt arrive at the hotel in time to sample the spa or the restaurant, which was a bummer. I arrived at 21:15 the exact time admission ended. Was able to eat at in The Lounge though and food was hot but small proportions for cost. However over all i had a good nights sleep and the staff where very welcoming and helpful.

Didcot is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Didcot, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Didcot hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
