"Good choice of hotel "
Staff very friendly. Room and facilities ok. Nice and quiet. Location excellent for where partner needed to be on business and while I waited only took 10 minutes by bus (the stop was opposite hotel) to get into Reading for shopping and the train station. The pool a little off putting as was very hot so not easy to swim in also a bit on small side.

"Comfortable hotel with really good facilities"
I stayed one night and took advantage of a great offer. Included in the price of breakfast (excellent) was a voucher for a free drink at the bar, and I had a delicious cocktail. Usually these 'offers' cover a small glass of cheap wine, so I was impressed. Lovely room, good facilities, and brilliant breakfast. I felt cared for.

"Stress free"
EasYeah and quick check in/out. Room was nice, poop facilities were enjoy bake and clean. Breakfast was great the staff were polite and helpful. Only three plug sockets in the room (across the room from the bed) and one didn't work very inconvenient for me (3 including the one the TV was plugged in to, we had to unplug the TV for our stay jusy to charge our phones) and they couldn't of been further away from the bed or sofa

"City centre apart- hotel"
Brilliant. Stayed here while my husband was in Royal Berks Hospital for a shoulder replacement . Surgery went well but due to complications with his other health issues, my expected 3 day stay became 11. I stayed in apartment 502, on the fifth floor [de luxe studio]. So quiet, great view towards the abbey, Forbury Gardens, the Shard & 5 minutes to the Oracle shopping centre. 15 minutes walk to the hospital, far quicker than using taxis or buses with the horrendous traffic, 10 minute walk to railway station. The apartment was my oasis a the end of many stressful hours at the hospital. Extremely light; airy; well furnished; very well equipped for those who want to self cater & spotlessly clean. Both washing machine & dishwasher were well used. Welcome starter packs for a basic breakfast & washing powders very useful Both the staff at head office & the apartments could not have been more welcoming, kind & helpful. Could not recommend more highly to young & old alike, for business or pleasure.

"Usually a good stay but not the best room "
Having booked The Hillingdon Prince before and enjoyed the stay we were a little disappointed with the room. It was very hot and took some time with the windows open and fan on for it to cool down. There were also no bed side lamps or alternate lighting to the main light which was far to bright, we ended up removing two light bulbs. The bathroom floor was unfinished. But the room was well equipt with fridge, hob microwave and sink. The bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful on arrival.

"Great Location Right on the Lake"
Although the drive was somewhat windy, and through the countryside, they have an idyllic location, right on the lake. A beautiful spot to wake-up in the morning, as it is very tranquil. Lovely to sit and watch the water birds whilst you eat your breakfast. The hotel is well established and has been there for a longtime. However this means it is now time for a renovation, new carpets, soft furnishings and wallpaper are needed, along with general re-tiling to bathrooms etc. Very clean and tidy, and staff were pleasant.

"Needs a few tweaks"
Hotel OK but room could be better. Why not put a proper hair dryer in instead of the old fashioned and totally ineffective automatic one in the bathroom. Room not big enough for the 2 single beds. A small double would have worked better. The position of them meant you could not see the TV from either. On the plus side, good internet which was free and nice biscuits.

Reading is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Reading, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Reading hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
