"Nice hotel, good location"
Room was nice, massive bed, nice shower, lots of plug sockets and USB ports for charging our tech. Could have done with a minibar fridge as we had brought our own champagne but had no where to chill it, although i'm sure we could have asked for a ice bucket. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good, enough options. The bar and lounge was great, very stylish, much nicer than the outside of the hotel.

"Budget 2 star - it's great actually "
Yes the decor is tired but actually this budget hotel is in a reasonably quiet part of Reading and offers great value for money. It has a bar, beer garden, a bit of a gym and car parking. Having stayed in 4 stars nearer to Reading station I know how noisy they can be. Rooms have a fridge and a microwave too. I don't know another 2 star in Reading with these facilities. I've stayed a few times for 4 night in the work week for less than £300. Big fan :)

"City centre apart- hotel"
Brilliant. Stayed here while my husband was in Royal Berks Hospital for a shoulder replacement . Surgery went well but due to complications with his other health issues, my expected 3 day stay became 11. I stayed in apartment 502, on the fifth floor [de luxe studio]. So quiet, great view towards the abbey, Forbury Gardens, the Shard & 5 minutes to the Oracle shopping centre. 15 minutes walk to the hospital, far quicker than using taxis or buses with the horrendous traffic, 10 minute walk to railway station. The apartment was my oasis a the end of many stressful hours at the hospital. Extremely light; airy; well furnished; very well equipped for those who want to self cater & spotlessly clean. Both washing machine & dishwasher were well used. Welcome starter packs for a basic breakfast & washing powders very useful Both the staff at head office & the apartments could not have been more welcoming, kind & helpful. Could not recommend more highly to young & old alike, for business or pleasure.

"Nice hotel adjoining the Forbury Gardens. "
The quietly impressive entrance to the hotel is a faithful indication of the hotel's overall quality. The mostly young staff were a pleasure to deal with; occasional signs of inexperience forgivable. Our room was inviting and pleasantly appointed. It was a pleasure to return to after a day's outing. Our included breakfast, served on large plates, was of good quality and well prepared.

"Beautiful setting by the Thames"
A night away to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was a perfect choice. They upgraded us to a suite and both rooms overlooked the gardens and the river. The restaurant is silver service and we were greeted by Aylesbury Duck on a spit being roasted in front of a large open fire. Lovely dinner with fine wine and then time to relax in front of that fire with a night cap. Breakfast is served in your room and rounded off a delightful day

Reading is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Reading, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Reading hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
