This was my 2nd stay. Previously, I was in a king room with a shower that had glass doors and a rock-like floor. That room was comfortable, upscale. During *this* stay, I was in a double queen room with a cheap shower curtain/plastic liner. The room was uncomfortable and unappealing. Both beds were awful; they felt like there were planks under the mattress. Sometimes the water didn't fully direct to the shower head, resulting in a loud noise and pooling water that turned the tub to ice. (I slid three or four times.) The thermostat audibly clicked on and off every few seconds. However, the room was spacious, *very* clean, and in good repair. The coverlet on the bed appears to be fresh each time. All of the linens are white but there were no stains. The room was simply uncomfortable and wasn't worth what I paid. It is thought of as an upscale hotel, but this room was not. That notwithstanding, the front desk staff and shuttle drivers were consistently friendly and helpful. Again, the hotel is very clean and the complimentary breakfast buffet had a range of options (but the hot foods tend to sit out too long). The hotel has a 24/7 kitchen with front-desk pick-up (no room service) and a decent (if not overpriced) menu. While I would consider staying again (only in a king room), after my most recent experience, I would first shop around -- which was not my opinion after my first stay.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and it was just as good as the last time. We were visiting relatives in the area and this hotel is ideally placed for seeing the sights of Lincoln. There is an hotel minibus in which guests can be taken anywhere within the city limits, dropped off and collected again when they are ready.
It was nice to see the same staff as the last time and in fact the front desk manager had kept the thank you card we left the last time we were there which made us feel that they really appreciated their guests feedback.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lincoln. They will be made most welcome.
