This boutique hotel was nice. The staff was welcoming each time we entered the building. The doormen are excellent! Julian at the front desk was amazing!
The room was nice but smaller than I'm accustomed to. However when I return I'll request a room on a higher floor, or one that's not on the street side of the hotel. If seems as if the walls were over thin. The noise from the steet traffic woke us up earlier than We wanted to be woken up.
If anything stood out, it was the service. The staff was very accommodating for the most part.
The breakfast selection was also worthy of mentioning. We never ate dinner so I can't comment on that.
The bar lounge was ok at best! They should either hire a DJ or at the least have a better selection of music.

The hotel was in walking distance of numerous cafés and restaurants. Every staff member I encountered was extremely helpful and nice. They even called up to my room after a few hours after checking to make sure everything was OK. The hotel has been updated with more modern finishes. The room does have somewhat of an old smell that I can't really figure out, but it was very faint not overbearing. I think it's just because it's an old hotel. The heating was a bit odd. It's a little hard for me to find a comfortable temperature. If you decrease a heat the AC kicks on but I figured it out quickly. I would stay at this hotel again next time I'm in DC.
