The room was extremely small even though it was a corner room. The breakfast we paid for was nice and convenient I would recommend it. The evening Starbucks team was great, very friendly and accommodating.

Good location for transportation and walking to bars and restaurants.

Great location, clean rooms. However, as the hotel is located above a pub it is noisy and hard to sleep on Friday and Saturday nights. We could hear the pounding music which made it hard to sleep. There is no hotel common area or prescription area….. price reflects what you get.

The first room had plenty of black mold and the second one was the same. Nothing about our room was luxurious as they advertised. It smelled musty and the furnishing sparse. We were told not to book the lower level rooms if we wanted a better suite. That definitely did not match what they advertised. On the positive side the location was excellent.

The only positive thing about this property was its location. Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The apartment had cockroaches, spiders, and other insects, which made the stay very unpleasant. The air conditioning was essentially non-functional. Even though the thermostat was set to 16°C, the room never cooled down. It felt like the system was only running in fan mode and not providing any actual cooling. The TV was also not working during our stay. Overall, the property was uncomfortable, poorly maintained, and did not meet expectations. I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

Our room wasn’t the cleanest, wallpaper ripped, walls/ceilings not painted, and the upstairs room was so hot we couldn’t use it during the day. My 80year old mum had to sleep on top of the sofa bed with the window open, which was noisy, to be able to be comfortable enough to sleep . This place was meant to be air conditioned and whilst the downstairs room was coolish, this definitely wasn’t the case upstairs. It was stifling! The milk that was left in the fridge curdled when poured into the cup of tea five times. When I asked at reception for more milk and teabags I was met with hostility (maybe due to language barrier) and waited ten mins for the receptionist to get more milk! The first one I tried also curdled but after that. I finally got a cup of tea! We are very disappointed and despite saying there would 24/7 reception we were met with a sign several times even this morning as we left! I was therefore unable to state my concerns about the standard of the room we had! We returned from a day trip at 3pm yesterday and the cleaner asked if she could finish the upstairs bathroom - there was a huge smell of bleach once she was finished and when my mum got up this morning she has bleach stains/dots on her navy blue trousers which is irremovable. We took photos of both the curdled milk and bleach stained trousers should they be required. I will publish this review more widely should the need arise as I feel strongly that people should know what they’re paying for.

Our stay at the Savoy was wonderful. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was exceptional, and the location ideal for sightseeing.
