Villa was moldy but tolerable for the weekend. Sheets had stains. Housekeeping didn't do much. Breakfast left much to be desired. Check-in was empty when we arrived and no staff was able to tell us where to go to check in or when the desk would be staffed. They don't answer the phone. I requested late check out which was accepted and I put do not disturb on the door. Housekeeping still barged in and woke us up and was annoyed we hadn't left. Overall it could've been worse.

Excellent location, surroundings, amazing resort concept. Beautiful design blended with natural elements with lots of respect for the environment. Pine woods, sand dunes, natural vegetation all beautifully preserved and integrated. The beach itself is excellent. Proper deep sand, very clean water, very flat, excellent for children. The food in both restaurants including the beach club was very high quality.

It was a pleasant enough stay with decent amenities and a wonderful view. But the below notes are the reason I give it just 3 stars: - Overall, the biggest disappointment is that it advertises to be a 5 star hotel but neither the service nor the quality of amenities makes this feel deserved. It feels more like a 3 star hotel— 4 star at best. - room service was very inconsistent and missed a lot of things. It felt extremely rushed and I did not feel like there was much care to the cleaning of our room— ie they did not replace our waters, free coffee pods, or replace our towels. - the new towels were dirty and ratty. This does not meet 5 star expectations - our experience at the sky lounge restaurant was very poor. Not attentive and they completely missed putting in our entrees so we left the restaurant having just had appetizers and a corked bottle of wine. - it’s such a large hotel that the staff were not very attentive. You did not feel cared for the way that 5 star hotels should make you feel. - the quality of food for the price is very sub par. - again, we are a pretty easy going couple so were fine to go with the flow and accepted it as it is, but I find the 5 star rating to be very misleading. You will be very pleased if you go in with the idea that this is a 3 star hotel. Hope people find this honest review helpful.
