"Modern riverside hotel with character, "
Arrived mid-morning and were given a room after very short wait. We found the location and hotel very quiet and convenient. Room was very comfortable and clean. The walk into town is about 25 mins, mostly along the river, but there are bus and tram stops right outside, and it's very easy to get to Foz from here too. Breakfast is very good with lots of choice. There's a supermarket close by, and bus (MZ) to the Bom Sucesso food mall ( great value, lots of choice). Hotel restaurant is of a reasonable standard, and we were happy to eat in after a long tiring day of sightseeing. The tram Museum is next door, and a couple of parks and gardens which unfortunately we didn't have time to visit. There's also a helicopter pad opposite the hotel for tourist flights.

NH Collection Porto Batalha

"Excellent central position for city break"
Superb breakfast with every imaginable option including perfectly ripe fresh fruit. Staff helpful and always smiling. Quiet room overlooking rear alleyway! but it was only for sleeping and away from noise of Batalha square. Non functioning bedside reading light was annoying and mentioned to reception but suspect a new lamp unit was needed. Intermittently functioning extractor in bathroom was bizarre and again mentioned to reception, but these were minor maintenance niggles rather than crises. Dinner was an interesting meal, again served efficiently and by friendly helpful staff. Hotel was near plenty of eating places and receptionist recommended 2 places near by and the Portuguese restaurant was excellent in 'Portuguese' style room - not the usual generic European type place.

"Excellent location"
We picked this hotel for its location and it met our expectations. It is an easy walk (slightly uphill) to the historical section of town and within minutes to the lovely walkways along the river. The people at the front desk were very polite and helpful and their English was perfect.

"Nice hotel in a great location"
We had a lovely long weekend in Porto. The hotel was very convenient for all the things we wanted to see and do but also far enough away that it wasn't noisy late into the night. Breakfast was good and the staff even managed to arrange champagne and chocolate cake to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Can't wait to go back.

It's like a motel. My room is small just a bedroom with bathroom. I like it. It's clean and has a small balcony. The big plus is the location. And they also have free breakfast

"Excellent location, nice location, friendly staff"
The hotel was a great base for our family vacation. It is close to many attractions and has access to many more via public transportation. The hotel itself could use some updating. The room, while perfectly cleaned on a daily basis, was definitely stuck in the late 90s or early 2000s. The bed was hard as a rock. We were concerned that we were sleeping on the box springs. The hotel shop was not open on Sunday or the New Years holiday. The gym when it was opened was managed by another firm and was very good, but had odd opening hours on the weekend. Breakfast was fantastic and the family enjoyed the service and food each day. Overall, we would return when we come back to Porto and recommend the hotel for families and business travelers.

Great service and friendly staff during my 2 week stay in Porto. Close to the city center. 20-25 minutes from airport. Shuttle service available for 9e one way trip just call ahead to arrange with hotel. Hotel is brand new. Comfortable bed and nice sized rooms. Breakfast buffet is 12e and has a lot of hot and cold options. Large selection of teas and coffee. Very safe area during day and at night. Room service is available as well as a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals are well prepared. Very helpful and knowledgable front desk staff always eager to help. Will definitely stay here again in the future!

"Very good situation for a mini break in Porto"
Fantastic city with lots to do - Lello Bookshop and the art galleries well worth a visit. Tram number 1 also worth using for another view of the Douro. Eat at three of the restaurants in the guide in the hotel- Costume Bistro was the best. Hotel staff very helpful for directions . Recommend getting a 72 hour Andante pass 15 euros will take you anywhere you want to go. Cable car and the funicular also good fun and a river trip is also a must.

Porto is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Porto, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Porto hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
