Cristal Guest House

Rua Galeria de Paris 48, Porto - Map

Christal Guest House is next to everything in a walking distance . And Exactly in the middle of the "party". In a wonderfull neighbourd with nice bars and wonderfull restaurants like "Santiago" ( where you can eat a cheap and tasty Francesinha ) Not the right choice if you want to rest. Specialy in S.Joao the wonderfull party of the city with 24 hours of loud portuguese music and DJs. Enjoy with family, children or friends the "martelinhos" . Do not walk with lot's of money, fancy mobiles etc and you will be safe. Lot's of un for all ages .Cristal is a small but modern hotel with shared bathrooms. Romantic but families, children and teenagers will also love it .The breakfast is not too early is simple but tasty. Go to breakfast with time to wait because it is very slowly , it's served by one person from the little kitchen. Theres an old in the house emplyoee ( Rosa ? ) that also clean the rooms (106 is a good room) She is an amazing professional very quick and helpfhull ( other employee that was on breakfast was rude , slow, and lazy, like to talk with other employees but do not like to work ). You will love Porto, is an old beautiful city Must go in S.Joao where everyone is on streets in a 24 h party of the city . Wonderfull beach Matosinhos, good to surf . Buy the card Andante in Airport (45 minutes from city centre ),top up it with 10 Eur go downtown to Cristal, and from there to everywhere by tube ( metro) or Bus 500 that go by the beach last stop zone 2 Matosinhos.

Hotel da Música

Mercado do Bom Sucesso, Porto - Map

This hotel is ideally located in a marketplace with many food choices and beverages including wine and beer. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant for meals . We liked the musical symbols used for decorative purposes , including a grand piano in the reception / bar area; our room had a musical piece enshrined over the bed and bedside lamps with treble clef stems ; quite unique and tastefully decorated. The staff were very attentive , polite and helpful. Overall we were impressed with the ambiance and service.

"Comfortable informal hotel"
Found hotel comfortable - not luxurious - in an excellent location -with a well informed multilingual staff My room was a little small but adequate with all facilities including tea/coffee making and fridge A bonus was windows that opened Unfortunately the rooms at the front are over a very busy road ! However the windows closed gave complete soundproofing The buffet breakfast was good value at 10euros with good selection

"A really great hotel,"
This hotel is ideally located to explore Porto, just out of the main city and not far from the beach area, set along the river. The hotel is very clean and all services are available, rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious. The food is very good and the buffet breakfast is one of the best I've seen, all of the staff were friendly and professional, basically I cannot fault it and I will return

"Kind and helpful hotel staff"
Hotel staff of Star Inn Porto Low Cost Hotel were excellent. Thanks to them, I had a very good trip in Porto, even though I was not speak Portuguese at all. Hotel staff at the front desk spoke clear English and gave me useful information for public transportation. One staff assisted me in taking a taxi when I departed to the airport. Facilities of the hotel were old, but there was not a problem. The interior of hotel room had bright color and pretty. Towels and bed sheets were sufficiently clean. There was no bathtub, but the shower head in the shower booth was not fixed on the wall, so I was able to wash and clean my whole body. This is very important to me when staying at a hotel. The price was reasonable and the stay was comfortable.

Porto is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Porto, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Porto hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
