"Friendly staff, convenient location"
The staff at the desk were great. We needed a shuttle bus to the airport at 4:30am and they were able to accommodate us - much appreciated! Comfy bed, very clean room, and the restaurant next door was actually pretty good.

"Pretty on the outside"
The hotel has a very impressive approach. When you first see it, it looks like a 5 star hotel. However, upon closer examination, you can see that it has not been well maintained over the years. The rooms are adequate but the shower is so tiny, it’s hard to adjust the water temperature before getting inside the shower without first spraying water all over the floor. The restaurant dinner menu was very good and the food was equally as good. But if you’re into wine, you basically have 3 choices: Red, white, sparkling. The cost of the room was very reasonable all things considered and the fact that they provide transportation to and from the Malpensa airport was a plus. We were only there for one night because we had an early morning flight out of Malpensa but I would probably not stay here for multiple nights.

"Opulent environment, balcony view to Lake Maggiore"
A multicolored chandelier in our room. Ornate tile work in the bathroom. Wainscoting and tromp l'oeil in the bedroom. Two floor-to-ceiling doors that opened to the balcony for a view out to Lake Maggiore. And that was just our room! Period baroque paintings in the lobby. A lobby sitting room and another on a mezzanine floor, with office for printing train tickets, etc. And the complimentary breakfast! Served either in the formal, high ceilinged dining room or the adjacent, glass enclosed patio with a view to street and lake, we ate like European royalty. Delicate pastries. A cheese and meat assortment. Cereal, fresh yogurt, cafe Americano, juices, aqua minerale: we were delighted to see the morning arrive, so we could go to breakfast! Finally, the multilingual staff made our entire stay in Lake Maggiore lovely. Upon arrival, they helped us get acclimated with directions to the tram up the mountain. We learned about the old village behind the hotel and how to get a water ferry to Islo Madre and Isabella. While the room was small, similar to ther European hotels we've stay at, we couldn't have been more surprised and pleased with our stay at the Hotel Milan Speranza au Lac.

"Convenient hotel for MXP travelers."
Idea Hotel worked well for my last night in Italia. Their free shuttle picked me up at Malpensa and returned me there the next morning. The room was big enough so that I could spread out my stuff and repack my bags for my early morning international flight. I took an evening walk and wished that I had started earlier. If I had done so I might have been able to join a yoga class at the nearby Centro Studio Olistici....

"3 night stay in stresa on Italy’s Lake Maggiore. "
went out to stresa for my birthday as had never been for a short break. easily reached by alibus or train to stresa itself. great location, so beautiful loads to see and do. boats so easily available to taxi you about to other resorts on lake but so glad to of stayed in stresa. with the lake and views as far as you can see and the alps in distance lit up by the sun when it was out there nothing to do buy chill out, explore and soak up the scenery with lots of food and drink. hotel is 5 mins from station and ten from the boat jeti. From Stresa you can catch regular ferries around the Borromean Bay (to the Borromean Islands, Baveno, Pallanza, Villa Taranto and Intra). For this area there are special Rover Tickets which allow you to hop on and off the ferries all day and are excellent value for money if you want a day island hopping. Hotel was lovely. rooms great, showers amazing. restaurant very impressive where you have breakfast and if want dinner you can have too. the grounds so colourful with beutiful plants and the stunning views 360 from the roof bar is spectacular.

"Overall nice hotel"
Called the hotel from the airport and the shuttle van arrived within ten minutes. Gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Room was efficient and clean. The only negative I would have is the bed was a little hard for our liking, but others may view this as a plus. Took the free shuttle back to the airport terminal the next morning and caught a train leaving from the airport to the city of Milan.

"Pleasant old world charm"
This is a very nice, pleasant hotel which reminds you of a bygone age. Breakfast is part of the package and there is plenty of choice at the buffet, mostly cold e.g. Bread, pastries, cereal, fruit, cold meats, cheeses, which suited us. We had a garden view room, which I think ended up being the better choice as the balcony got the full late afternoon / early evening sun and was lovely to sit out on with a cold beer. So lots of good things, with the only bad being the charges for everything on top of the room package e.g. water, ice, no tea making in room and the very expensive bar prices. All in all a good hotel, perhaps let down by what seems like penny pinching.

"Good value for a week stay"
Old fashioned hotel. 3 star. But great Buffett breakfast, plenty of choice and fresh each day.. Nice touch of coffee, cold drinks and cakes and yogurts to help yourself to.. Free wifi, patchy and only near reception.. Rooms basic, but clean.. Old style hotel with comfortable beds.. Choose a balcony room facing downhill.. We booked last minute, cheap deal to the lovely lake.. But you can't see lake at all from here.. Up the hill from main square 15 min brisk walk.. Not for the faint hearted .. Hotel is downhill walk from train station, bout 8 mins.. But not really near anything.. We would choose to stay in the square area next time as the walk up hill to the hotel in the heat was wearisome ! Go for one with a bathing area.

Colazza is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Colazza, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Colazza hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
