"Super comfy hotel, right next to everything"
The hotel was great. Its a short walk to the train station, across the street from the lake and central in town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They all spoke english. My room's balcony didnt have the greatest view of the lake but it still had a decent view. Room was clean and comfortable. I was alone, and saw many other guests genuinely happy. I really don't understand how anyone can have anything too bad to say about this hotel. Highly recommended. Thank you for your hospitality.

"B&B close to the center"
The room is very nice bright and clean. However, be aware, tat it is 4 flight of steep stairs. Once you get into apartment there are 2 more flights inside. Not great with heavy luggage or painful knees. The manager is nice and helpful, however when we arrived (around 5 pm) there was only a note on the door "please call me". We didn't have a local phone (we traveled with our US phone), and her phone didn't accept international calls. So my husband had to go find another hotel were people were nice to place a call for him. The manager arrived quickly and all was well afterwards. One other point is that the breakfast is in the restaurant (10 min. walk). And while the breakfast is good, to go down and then up all those stairs is not great. If you don't mind the stairs, the place is nice enough and close to all the action.

"Beautiful house for B&B in convenient location "
Slightly difficult to find... but when we did we found a beautiful house, had a lovely welcome and wonderful room/suite overlooking the lake (allbeit a little distance away). The room was full of character and the bathroom was lovely though the low ceilings were 'entertaining' for my 6 foot 2" husband! but it really didn't matter. We had a lovely 1 night stay, drove into Stressa and enjoyed our evening. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back, MANY THANKS to the helpful man (Sorry unable to remember his name)who looked after the house for the owner - he was very friendly and helpful about places to visit etc. Thank you for a lovely stay. Breakfast was very nice too!

"Little bit further from stresa than expected."
Overall had a nice stay. Owner lovely and very welcoming. Breakfast lovely. Made to feel at ease. Nothing too much trouble. Very rustic. Right up our street. Parking a wee bit of an issue. Definitely need a car to stay here. Television a bit lacking but not on channels.

"Good value and views"
We stayed here 3 nights with our 2 kids, ages 11 and 14. Simple, spacious and clean, this apartment is a bit up the hill from the waterfront and downtown Stresa. This is a good value if you are willing to provide your own supplies (toilet paper, shampoo, etc) and don't require air conditioning. With a little investment the apartment could be fabulous, but it was a fine base for us to enjoy the lake. Stresa is beautiful and we enjoyed Prosecco on the pretty terrace and then walking down to town for dinner. The uphill walk home was welcome after eating the delicious food and gelato, but if you have mobility issues, be aware it's a bit of an uphill hike.

"Convenient hotel"
Nothing bad but nothing great either about this hotel. No late checkout and if they keep your bags after you have checked out, these are just left in the lobby for anyone to take. Breakfast buffet is OK a few croissants, bacon, ham, cereal, juice etc

"Elegance with lovely views"
Some 500 yards along the promenade from the town centre, an elegantly appointed hotel rewardingly old-fashioned in décor, fresh and immaculately clean. TV in many languages. Wi-Fi is free and reliable but needs re-registration twice daily. An indoor pool is always a useful back-up. The outdoor pool is very pleasant, with grassy areas around, and colourful flower-beds. I would ask the staff to add a No-Smoking rule around the pool (or restrict smoking to an outer corner of the garden), since smoke drifts down onto the water and impedes those trying to swim properly. A separate area could be created for those merely wishing to splash! Shade becomes somewhat limited as the sun moves into the afternoon: perhaps the umbrellas should be moved a little. Buy an all-inclusive ticket to allow entrance without queueing to (2 of the 3) Borromean Islands – which should be more enjoyable early, before the crowds. Check in advance on the somewhat infrequent connections to/from Malpensa Airport: though the hotel can reserve bus return tickets from the very gates.

Stresa is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Stresa, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Stresa hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
