Wonderful views! Loved walking on boardwalk to see the seals and wildlife. Great access to tide pools. Beds were very comfortable. Very clean bathroom. Very quiet even though all rooms were occupied. Loved fire pits and breakfast delivered to the door in a picnic basket. We will be back!

The San Simeon Coast is spectacular. Of course Hearst Castle is the big go-to point of interest there, but the coastline itself is very scenic and unique. We have already done the castle many times and this is the first time we have actually stayed at one of the few inns in San Simeon. The Cavaleir is a bit pricey but heck, the isolation and beauty away from the rush of Cambria is worth it. A quiet walk on the beach or a casual stroll on the old Hearst pier, a good hike out to the point... what could be finer? We had a very relaxing weekend.

We had a bad night unfortunately due to guest next door being drunk and fighting and another couple partying. Called down to the desk and they tried to correct it to the best they could. It was too late as we
couldn't sleep from this being from 1am to 4am off and on.
The hotel is very nice and service and food excellent. We just had a bad experience.

Check in was nice, the lady was super friendly. The room was nice, though we did find some garbage. The hotel was nice enough to not put all the guests right next to each other, we had no one else near us.

Tourism is king in Cambria. Its Pacific Coast location offers dramatic rocky cliffs and beaches and is home to countless hotels and bed-and-breakfasts. Popular recreational activities include bicycling, hiking, surfing, and kayaking. Another key reason visitors like Cambria is its proximity to Hearst Castle (6 miles) and the Northern Elephant Seal Rookery (15 miles).
