My husband and I took a 3 day getaway to visit Cambria and the Hearst Castle. Overall, it was a wonderful trip. The hotel is a short walk along a beautiful boardwalk to moonstone beach and the delicious Sea Chest restaurant. The hotel staff are VERY nice, welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are very pretty and comfortable, and even have a gas fireplace.

Very nice stay. We have visited here before and stayed and enjoyed it so we came back again. Very pleasant, we love the location, the rooms and the welcoming atmosphere. We met other guest at the evening wine and cheese set out by the hotel and everyone was equally pleased with the accommodations.

The room had a nice view of the beach. Patio faced beach and sunsets were awesome.. Free breakfast was really good with eggs, sausage and pancakes and all the trimmings. Hotel personnel was really nice.

Hotel was very nice. Only reason I didn't give it all 5 stars is because the trees block the ocean. Really not the hotels fault but still a bummer and no air conditioning or ceiling fan. First night was warm. We opened the window but it gets noisy because of the hWY.

Beautiful hotel. The male hotel employee that checked us in that day was extremely respectful. Surprised us with a bottle of champagne for our anniversary that was quite elegant and thoughtful. The room was very beautiful and really surprised us. Could not think of a better place to stay in cambria for our anniversary or anytime. We are already making plans to return to this hotel.

Staff was very nice, "lodge" is cute and well kept. It was recommended that we stay on the second floor due to potential noise from upstairs neighbors, so we did. The hotel is not that close to the beach but we knew that when we chose it. Breakfast is actually a full meal, with choices of eggs, sausage, oatmeal, breads, fruit, cereal, etc. and served in the restaurant -- much nicer than the typical "continental" that comes with most hotel stays.

Tourism is king in Cambria. Its Pacific Coast location offers dramatic rocky cliffs and beaches and is home to countless hotels and bed-and-breakfasts. Popular recreational activities include bicycling, hiking, surfing, and kayaking. Another key reason visitors like Cambria is its proximity to Hearst Castle (6 miles) and the Northern Elephant Seal Rookery (15 miles).
