"All round good hotel and resort."
Stayed in hotel for 1 week in October 2015. Everything about the hotel was very good - swimming pool, close to beach, very extensive food choice, staff, cleanliness etc. There is a city bus that runs very regularly to other resorts and a bus to Palma several times a day. The Port area is very beautiful as is the views from this hotel looking over the sea and promenade.

"Only for those loving package holidays"
I would only recommend this location to those looking for a short package holiday in a resort area. There is nothing Spanish-feeling about this part of Mallorca. It is a holiday resort. Many of the nearby shops and restaurants are geared for tourists and some parts of the town feel totally artificial. The clientele is largely German. The beach is just across the road. It is very clean but as it's small it gets very crowded. There are chairs with umbrellas (that get snapped up very quickly) but aside from that or sitting in one of a few beachside cafes, there are no natural shady areas. A couple of restaurants along the waterfront serve quite good and more authentically Spanish food. Aside from that, most restaurants serve the usual touristy fare. The one annoying thing was the hotel next door that liked to announce its upcoming morning and evening events so loudly (blasting this out in German) daily. One night, while on the balcony we were caught between two rival Frank Sinatra renditions - one in our hotel and one in the hotel next door. We booked half board but only ate dinner there twice. While there was a wide variety of food, much of it was drowned in heavy sauces and the better fare was gone by the time it reached 8:30pm as many diners started eating as early as 6:30. Thankfully, whatever noise one could hear in the evening stopped promptly by midnight. Only recommend if you are looking for a tourist resort in a lovely location but without a sense of local flavor.

"Nice hotel good location. "
Hotel very good, low level building. Good view from apartment. Pool small but adequate. Lovely cove for swimming and diving school right outside the hotel. Beach 10 minute walk away, looks lovely but smelly.

"Not good for self catering"
Self catering very disappointing. Basic utensils, no kettle or toaster,no grill or oven. Only two hot plates, microwave and a fridge. Ok if you eat out or in the hotel, not so good for families with children.

"Good hotel "
We stayed at the Hotel Amoros in April, and were pleased with the facilities, its location and the general upkeep. The room was of a reasonable size with a small balcony, comfortable bed and adequate storage space. A safe and fridge were available at a small cost, and we took our own kettle. The bar and cleaning staff were friendly and eager to please. The short walk to the town centre, port and promenade were reasonable, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Longer coastal walks in both directions were well marked, with distance indicators on some display boards. We used the red bus to Arta for the market on Tuesday, and to Capdepera on the way back - both places worth a visit.

"Excellent value for money"
Good location within resort, for beaches shops and bars restaurants. Suspect resort could be quite busy in summer. Staff at the hotel excellent, helpful and friendly. As mainly frequented by Germans would suggest a smattering of German and Spanish would be useful. Restaurant staff particularly helpful and friendly. Suspect resort gets quite busy in summer months so if wanting a quieter break Spring and end of Summer may be best. Spain offers very good value for money for Brits at the moment and hotel and resort do not disappoint on value for money for mid hotel costs. It always depends what you are looking for, for the price you pay and this is good value, frequented by Spanish so that says something. Quite a few solo travellers in residence and would suggest good hotel for them.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
