The hotel was great , but there are a few things worth knowing before you book. If you want air conditioning, you must book a Deluxe Room, as the standard rooms don’t have it. Also, if you want to use the fancy swimming pool and jacuzzi you’ll need to pay for access to the spa facilities. I couldn’t arrange my arrival to coincide with the 3 pm check-in, so I arrived early and asked if an early check-in was possible. I was simply told “3 pm”. Every other hotel I’ve stayed at has allowed an early check-in when the room was available, overall very good

Good nice grounds, great food, lovely room. Only thing that was a let down was the spa. Tired and nothing special.

I stayed at the Double Tree by Hilton Cadbury House for a recent business trip. The stay was ok although I was a little disappointed with the Deluxe room that I had booked, certainly not like the pictures indicated on the Hotels.com website. The servicing of the room is what the hotel calls a light service for a short stay like mine. This does not include refreshing the bed or towels or even emptying the bins. This apparently only happens every 3 days. The room was clean and the bathroom functional. The bar area was very comfortable plenty of seating and the food was very good. You also have the facility of the MPW Restaurant, although this was not something I used. Breakfast was very good with a large selection of hot and continental foods and overall I found the stay comfortable. One thing that all the hotels have tagged on to nowadays is charging to park your car on the car park even as a hotel guest although at a slightly reduced rate than that advertised on the Car Park boards. Personally I believe that as a hotel guest there should be no charge to park my car unless I had made arrangements to leave it during a trip from the airport.

A lovely little hotel in peaceful surroundings. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the amount of time the evening meal took. The staff were apologetic from the start that they were busy and short-staffed. That’s ok, but it took the best part of an hour to deliver my dessert - a lime parfait, from a set menu. In fairness the food, including the dessert, was delicious. But for most of the hour we were ignored and then, when I could get some attention, they said they would get it sorted but didn’t. Just be honest. If anyone had come back after 15-20 mins and said, “really sorry, but it’s going to be another 15-20 mins as we’re so far behind.” then I would have said “it’s ok, cancel the dessert”. Instead, they soldiered on and then took the dessert off the bill due to the delay! So they made no money on the parfait and I was no less peeved about the situation, as I didn’t plan to spend 3 hours of my evening over dinner. A lose-lose for the hotel - and me.

Lovely one Night stay in a compact single room. Had everything i needed. The hosts were amazing, very helpful with checking in a bit earlier and breakfast was gorgeous
