This was my 4th stay at the Dominican - and I will be staying there again. The location is great and the hotel and staff is incredible. Had to cut my stay short by one day due to a family emergency that required an early departure back to the states. The General Manager did not charge me for the canceled reservation - above and beyond what I expected.

We were very happy with our stay at the Sandtown Pillows Brussels. It is a fairly new hotel which is very modern. It was extremely clean, comfortable, and quiet at night. The location is great because it is just a few blocks away from the super-touristy city center, so its much more quiet without having to sacrifice location. There is a beer bar next to the hotel, as well as many places to eat. It is also only a 5 minute walk to the metro. The staff at the check-in desk were always very friendly and helpful when it came to navigating us through the city. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Simple hotel, great for a one night stay. We didn't use any of the amenities, breakfast buffet for 25 euro seems a little too much. very clean rooms. Location is fantastic, all the major sites are within easy walking distance.

Had a very good stay at the hotel, the hotel was strategically located and rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. The only cons was the fact that cars were not accessible hence it was very difficult for us to bring our luggages to the hotel. I would not recommend the hotel to families with children and elderly as it will be difficult for them.

The apartment was in a great, central location just a very short walk to the Grand Place.
The apartment was quite spacious with 2 large bedrooms, ideal for us as two adult couples with 2 bathrooms (although one was very small and the toilet did not flush properly).
There is no reception (so no staff ) but details are emailed with how to access the building and the apartment keys. This was very well organised however we were unable to easily advise anyone about the problems we had with the toilet since there was no reception desk and as travellers our mobile phones did not work.
The weather was unseasonably hot when we were there and whilst there was air conditioning it did virtually nothing to keep the apartment cool. Luckily, two fans were available and these helped cool the place down a little to be able to sleep.
Overall I would highly recommend the apartment.

The only problem with this place is that the check-in is offsite, about 10-15 minute walk from the unit and it's not through the best part of town, although in a group we did feel safe.
The unit is nice and quite because all the window open away from the busy street. The room was nice for three people and the futon was comfortable.

Pocket Guide: Brussels Brussels Grand Place Hotels
A heart-shaped ring road defines Brussels’ city core, and most of its visitor attractions. Within these limits, the centre consists of two distinct halves. To the west is the Lower Town, a tangle of medieval streets centred on the Grand Place, a vast cobbled square surrounded by ornate Flemish buildings. To the east is the newer and more aristocratic Upper Town, a zone of palaces and parks, grand museums, and gothic churches.
