Villa Maia is in an amazing location, and was wonderful to stay at. The staff is incredibly kind, thoughtful and helpful. The concierge is so knowledgeable and helpful. The staff bent over backwards to help us to have a great stay. Julian and Baptiste helped my daughter find an apartment to rent, while she is there for school. The whole staff is wonderful! I will stay there every time I’m in Lyon!

The hotel has a nice retro style and everything is clean and very well taken care of. I really liked the old-fashioned and well-working elevator. The room and bathroom are pretty small, but clean too. There was a problem with a leaking water from the shower cabin, but otherwise everything else was good. The shampoo and conditioner provided by the hotel were of a very good quality, such that I decided to find it online and order it. The breakfast was excellent. So many good options. Different types of cheese and cold cuts, hot food, fresh croissants and baguette. Different varieties of good quality tea and very modern coffee machine.

The rooms were clean, although somewhat small. The coffee, teas and waters available on the room and lobby were great. The pralines were a welcoming touch on our first visit to Lyon.
