"Quaint, but GREAT Service"
The staff is excellent- so helpful and friendly. Fresh breakfast daily and an easy walk to the historic district (and pretty much all of the best tourist sites). Our hotel had a perfect view of the basilica. We had a great stay- and the on-site restaurant is delicious as well.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are small but clean and the hotel is in a great location. The biggest issue is the internet. They give personalized tickets with login information that changes daily. And the internet was hard to find. I essentially spent the entire time at the hotel disconnected due to the challenges of getting online.

"Good Value Accommodation near to Rail Station"
Staff at this hotel were kind and welcoming. We were allowed an early check-in, which was great for dropping off bags and getting prepped to explore the city. Room was spacious, bedding clean and lovely toiletries. Only complaint is the bathtub was visibly worn and the drain pipe was clogged, with water backing up, and the safety deposit box was a little questionable. Housekeeping was very helpful, even though we couldn't speak much Italian. Breakfast was superb, with a fantastic array of croissants, pastries, cold meats and cheeses, boiled eggs, yogurt and fruit. It's a fair walk to the Basilica, several blocks down and 20 to 25 minutes on foot. The streets were closed in April because of the marathon, making is quite easy for pedestrians to get around. There are groups of persons who loiter outside the hotel, near to a fast-food outlet, throughout the day and at night. The hotel has no security, so travellers should be vigilant.

"Great Hotel"
The hotel is very nice in the heart of the city. But not noisy at all The rooms are modern but they kept the charm everything is clean an ready for you The heater and air conditioner work perfectly. They have minibar and a coffee machine. Breakfast has a wonderful spread. Just be aware that if you have a car you need to go into the square to get to it, the square is a pedestrian street. But the hotel is worth it.

"Great Staff"
Lovely and helpful staff, sharing their knowledge of Venice. Laundry service was excellent and cheap. Parking across the road for 5 euro a night (collected by hotel) was a great surprise. Hotel is close to train station and easy walk to the old town of Padova. Great base location for Venice, just don't forget to explore Padova as well.

"Good and bad"
We stayed for 2 days in mid-September. The best thing about the hotel was the thermal baths that are actually very large indoor and outdoor swimming pools fed by the local hot springs. This maintains the water temperature in the 34-38 degree (C) range which is extremely relaxing. The pools are well maintained and not crowded. Overall the hotel has a feeling of faded glory. It was clearly splendid at some point in the past - but everything feels a little worn out now - from the bath mats to the dining rooms. It was the only 4 star hotel we have stayed in where there was a water heater/kettle - but no coffee or tea supplies. The fixed menu dinner in the restaurant was very medium quality and the only time we ever felt rushed eating while in Italy. The hotel is a comfortable 30 minute drive from the old town in Padua - which we thought was perfect. There were several great local Restaurants (Mary's Pizza and Trattoria di Nicola) within walking distance. Not sure who awarded the advertised 4 stars - but it is definitely not within the usual quality that 4 stars would denote.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
