The area, and the Lodge itself, are relaxing in a natural setting. Just like Upstate New York. Hike, ski or read a book on the balcony.

Very difficult to find the location as it it’s nestled in The Forest within a maze of small roads. No laundry readily available and only 2 green tea bags supplied for my three day stay. That said, it is a beautiful location within the forest. Could make it more friendly for international guests with various translations, like 90% of other Japanese accomodations. If you are over 6feet tall (181cm) watch your head walking through doorways 😜

This place is so authentic. It was a true gem of a Japanese experience for our family. We loved everything about it: hospitality, clean rooms, beautiful views, natural spring style onsens… Highly recommend!

This is a great escape from the city and offers many options for enjoying the area or if you have younger children, many play facilities are available. Staff is great as always at any Hoshino facility.
