This hotel is on top of a night club so you can hear very loud beats until 2:30am. The staircase is dangerously steep and narrow and would not be good for anyone with mobility issues. Our room was not properly cleaned during our five day stay. That said, the room is stylish, the location is central, and the air con worked well.

Good location, good staffs, and it is very convinces for us to go to the city centre! Air conditioning is good, The only thing is the hair shampoo is not really good!

Location is only thing that good for this hotel , When I arrived here the stuff wasn’t there so I have to wait outside and he pushed me to pay city tax I told him later he repeated asked for twice another day , anyway won’t recommend and won’t come back !

The hotel was super conveniently located. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, especially the bathroom, air-conditioning was fine and it was nice to hang out in the lobby and get some refreshing water while waiting to go to Amsterdam Central. The only thing that stood out as an anomaly against all of the other really nice qualities of the property is the carpet in the halls—it was worn out and should be replaced or something, but it that was the only striking thing that I noticed that didn’t fit with the rest of the property or my experience. I would definitely recommend and I would stay there again 100%.

Lovely place to stay and quite near the train station. For daytripping on the train it is a great location. Points of interest within Amsterdam were rather far away for walking and the closest tram stop was also a hike. But a canal tour was very nearby.

The location is very good for tourists because it is on a popular square with lots of restaurants, bars and some shops. We had a little but nice balcony over looking the large square. However the downsides were two things. First the room size was very small and we had to have turns maneuvering around the bed. Secondly the floor was dirty. Our socks and/or feet showed the dirt. Breakfast was very good and had a wide variety of choices.

Rembrandtplien Hotels' main selling point is its location. Twenty minutes' walk from Amsterdam Central train station, through the tourist/red-light district, in a very quiet area close to the university. The hotel itself is a five-story townhouse with very steep stairs (no lift, so be careful if this is an issue). Our room, advertised as a double, would have better suited a single traveller and was in desperate need of repair and maintenance. The bath was rusted, and the mirror needed re-silvering. The bed and wardrobes are old and a little dusty all in a 50's style dark wood. I think the hotel rates itself as two-star, but a little loving care would go a long way to improve visitors' experience
