"Convenient value hotel"
Although a bit dated the hotel is good value and an easy walk into the town centre. The staff were helpful and directed us to store our bicycles in the basement.

"New staff in House Keeping so it will improve!"
Not bad. Pricey for what it is. It has asked me to write more but I've said enough considering this review is free. I am not charging anything for it. If you wNt an improvement critique, I think you should discount my next stay.

"Great location, and a reasonable cycle into town."
Hotel staff are very helpful and all speak English at a basic level or better. The hotel is a little tired, examples being the stairs carpet is worn through and rucked up with age and older style crt tv in the bedroom however the level of cleaning is exceptional. The room we stayed in had a lovely bathroom which looked recently done without a single trace of mould on the grouting or shower curtain or smear on the mirror. The showers had great pressure and hot water readily available. It was lovely to hear such strong birdsong from our balcony and throughout the grounds. The location is silent at night and in the morning due to its woodland location. Replies to questions by email were within 10 minutes however there was a slight pickup when it came to hiring an e-bike. The inside swimming pool was a great bonus and the restaurant provided some great food.

"Hotel Courage, Waalkade, Nijmegen - recommended"
From the moment we checked in, until three days later when we checked out, the staff were brilliant. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast plentiful (continental-style). Nice little bar, and a very pleasant riverside location. Slept well as not much traffic seemed to go by at night.

"Family friendly, though not top notch"
Our stay was during what is called a heat wave in the Netherlands, 90 (F). The hotel has no AC at all, and the windows didn't open either... only a patio door, which didn't allow for any air flow. Our room has a split level, the second level was even more unbearable. We all slept in 5 minute intervals, and the kids slept on the floor to be cooler. I understand the hotel doesn't control the weather, but be aware that there are no provisions to deal with hot weather. On a safety note, I do have quite some concerns. I did not see any sprinklers inside our room, to evacuate the room we stayed in without sprinklers, would be tricky at best. Especially the loft area of our room would be a serious safety concern. With only a narrow, unstable spiraling staircase, the loft is a serious safety concern for smaller kids. My kids are pre-teens, yet I still had to assist them to go up and down to avoid serious falls. A stay with a toddler would not be safe in the room we stayed in. The reception desk closes at night, you cannot reach anyone. Forget about things like wake-up calls, or the maintenance department. The fitness area and indoor swimming pool also closed at 9 pm, with all hotel staff apparently going home for the night. On positive notes, the breakfast that is included is quite nice, typical Dutch style with luncheon meats, sliced cheese, nice rolls, etc. Also, the town of Groesbeek is quite nice and quite; a typical rural small town, located close to beautiful nature areas.

Nijmegen is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Nijmegen, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Nijmegen hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
