We had an absolutely wonderful weekend at Plume Villas in Matakana. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The villa was beautiful, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location is fantastic — peaceful and private, while still being close to everything Matakana has to offer. We especially loved the beautiful surroundings and the relaxed atmosphere. It was the perfect place to switch off, unwind and enjoy some quality time together. The whole experience exceeded our expectations, and we would happily stay here again. Thank you to the team at Plume Villas for such a fantastic stay. Highly recommended!

We were lucky to get an early check in and an upgraded room on the top floor. Hotel a little dated but looks recently renovated. Room a great size, clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was amazing! Parking easy in atrium carpark next door. Great location in central city. Would stay again.

Ok, let’s start with the positives: nice room, good size and clean, hotel is VERY central and well located for anything in central Auckland. Bathroom was fine, but the shower, whilst roomy, lacked in power. The staff themselves were perfectly pleasant, but lacking in customer service skills. Initial contact seemed positive, but that’s where it all ended. No replies to repeated messages through the booking portal. When we arrived with 2 large bags there wasn’t even the offer for help with bags, just had to struggle along on our own. We had to contact reception towards the end of our trip as our flight home had been cancelled. Was promised a call back to sort out staying an extra couple of days, no call was ever received. This is REALLY poor and unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a 5* place. Again, no offer of help when checking out. I believe the difference between a 4* and a 5* should be about the customer service and experience, ours was decidedly poor.
