Enjoyed: Excellent breakfast. Warm and welcoming bar, housekeeping, and desk staff - tip them well! Very accommodating management. The well-appointed gym with working equipment, nice amenities, and ample space. Improvements needed: More sound-proofing between floors and replace annoying smoke detectors. Recommend guests reserve a room on 4th floor to avoid lack of sound proofing between floors. Also, wear an eye-guard to avoid the unpleasant experience of being wakened by the bright, flashing smoke detector light visible in a darkened room.

Expedia promoted the site as having certain amenities which the hotel did not have. The property, when asked, was shocked to learn that Expedia was using AI generated review of the property listing things the property did not have. Expedia DID NOT make it correct, BUT the property did. I would happily stay here again. The point is Expedia sold this property as one thing and when confronted passed the buck along instead of correcting their mistake.

Everything was great. Very clean and modern. Walking distance from downtown.

We totally loved the decor of Hotel Ruby Marie!! It was so quaint and took us back in time. There were a number of cobwebs hanging around the room, but I cleaned them up. The other problem was that the window A/C left an opening at the top of the window, so we had quite a few bugs in the room. Those were a nuisance, but Hubby stuffed one of the towels into the opening. That helped. Also, we had a heck of a time getting the t.v. to work ... the picture would not come on. Luckily my husband kept at it, and finally got it to work. But we had that problem almost every time we turned on the television. Since the staff takes on the roles of check-in, housekeeping, and whatever, it was difficult to get anyone to take care of some of these issues. But, we survived. Would we come back? You bet!! We loved the amenities, and it was fun to stay in such a unique hotel! The two attached restaurants (Essen Haus and C'mon In!) had GREAT food! The breakfast cafe (Roseline's) was good, too.

We were just there for a Saturday night and enjoyed our stay. After a busy day, we enjoyed a few cocktails at the bar and the server was engaging (while busy) Bobcats off to her. A++ stay, thank you!
