Fantasticcc auberge and so cozy and clean! Location is perfect

The hotel is very nicely situation in the lower town and close to the water, but not right in the very busy part of lower town. Location wise, we found it nice, but be aware that the way Quebec City is situated, you will most likely need to walk up (or take funicular) to the top of the hill for many activities/dinners/food. You can walk to restaurants and activities in the Old Port as well as in the lower town, but the Chateau Frontenac and old fortifications as well as many restaurants will require a steep walk. The standard room provides a normal size bed (not queen) and a European sized room. This means it can be a bit tight if you have a lot of luggage, but it's definitely bigger than some rooms we've had when in Europe! The bathroom is quite small with the sink outside, but the shower was impressive with multiple showerheads at different levels! Check in was helpful and clear and there was an elevator, although if you don't have luggage or mobility issues, the stairs are not bad.

Nous sommes arrivés à 16h10 et la suite n'était pas prête. Lorsque nous avons eu la clé, le préposé n'avait pas terminé. Nous avons retrouvé un rouge à lèvres des anciens visiteurs par terre dans la chambre. Nous avions mentionné avoir un chien mais le kit pour chien est arrivé 2h plus tard. Aucune explication à la réception sur les commodités offertes ou services offerts sur le site. Dans la suite avec salle à manger, aucun menu ou info sur le room service. Nous avons dû se rendre au restaurant pour commander. Il y a erreur sur le menu, tous les plats sont servis avec frites ou salade... malgré que ce ne soit pas indiqué "ou". On demande d'appeler lorsque nous avons terminé de manger pour récupérer le plateau mais personne n'est jamais venu malgré notre appel. Des frais de livraison de 5$ et des frais de gestion de 15% sont ajoutés à la facture sans nous informer. Malgré des prix élevés pour l'hébergement, il faut en plus payer le stationnement 20$ + taxes en sus. Pour ceux qui ont des crédits Expedia, c'est à surveiller sur la facture car ils ne les appliquent pas d'emblée. Nous avions la suite avec "spa" mais c'est plutôt un bain tourbillon avec deux jets faibles. Finalement, nous avons fait part de tout ceci à la préposée au check out mais elle n'a absolument rien dit ni rien fait. Hôtel 5 étoiles peut-être mais service 2 étoiles.

Clean, attractive, comfortable room in an elegant stone building. We parked in a garage three or four minutes away on foot. TV and wifi were easy. Good location in center of old Quebec.
