Short stay but room was ok. Was in the new area near leisure facility. Colleagues stayed in old part of hotel and those rooms need modernising. Very dated and shabby

"Awesome B&B"
From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and valued. Yvonne and Bob were perfect hosts from the outset, friendly and genuine. The room itself was large, clean, decorated to an excellent standard and pleasingly warm. The dining room was fabulous. Very charming and comfortable. Yvonne prepares breakfast to your order and breakfast is very very good. All in all a very enjoyable stay and we will be returning soon. Highly recommended!

William de Percy

Jedburgh Road, Newcastle-upon-Tyne - Map
"Fabulous and gloriously quirky-style hotel."
From the moment we arrived, we knew it would be an interesting stay. The hotel is decorated in dark but not sombre colours, with eclectic items dotted around, all adding to the atmosphere. A winding corridor and stairs led us to our 'Superior' room. Inside it was panelled and had a huge bed, carved nightstands, wardrobe, dressing table and big windows looking out onto the extraordinary garden. Whilst still painted in dark colours, it had an airy feel to it. The soft furnishings were good quality and felt luxurious. Lovely touches in the room included a personalised 'welcome' letter, a complimentary 'cocktail kit', a good selection of teas and a large bag of fresh-ground coffee (no nasty Nescafé sachets!). Through a pair of carved antique doors was the bathroom and, framed by the door, sat a huge shiny copper bath. What a sight! Whoever designed the room certainly knows how to make a statement. The bathroom also had a big wet-room style shower, pedestal basin, loo and nice touches with indulgent bath gels and shampoos. There is something quite decadent about luxuriating in a copper bath full of bubbles, whilst sipping a cocktail... my partner left me to it and caught up with six-nations rugby on large flat-screen tv in the bedroom! My only negative comment was that the lighting was quite dim - downlighters in the ceiling and vintage lamps are lovely but hopeless for trying to apply make-up. It would have been useful to have one small brighter lamp for that purpose.

"Wonderful Getaway"
The Black Bull is located in the quaint village of Wark on the River Tyne. A truly lovely atmosphere with walking trails along the river. The rooms are recently renovated with a large bathroom and walk-in shower. A beautiful glassed in conservatory with comfortable leather sofa and chairs provides a lovely view of the property. The dining and pub facilities are top rated. The Black Bull is a perfect location for a quiet getaway.

Bridgeford Farm - Hexham Hotels

Bridgeford Farm

Bellingham, Hexham - Map
"Beautiful stop with the best hospitality"
There is a lot of good things to say about the Bridgeford Farm B&B. The location is idyllic and so peaceful. We loved the sound of our farm animal neighbours each day; I enjoyed a really nice evening walk into the woods alongside the farm's field and the river is very accessible to guests. Being rather remote, visitors should plan ahead and know where they'll be eating for lunch and dinner each day. On that note, breakfast is locally sourced and superb. Isabelle made special effort for other guests staying at the same time who were up and out early for work (5am!!) The room we stayed in couldn't be cosier. We had a sweet view of the garden. All necessary amenities were thoughtfully provided, even a portable heater for those colder nights (although central heating was on anyway). I cannot say enough about our host. Isabelle was a dear; very relaxed, very accommodating, eager to share local knowledge and was genuinely interested in us as people. She was ever so kind to my fiancée and we cannot thank her enough for her approach to being the best kind of B&B host you could hope for. I would happily choose to stay here again and would recommend to any couples, solo travelers and small groups.

Belford House

Main Street, Haltwhistle - Map
"Beautiful fresh clean rooms equipped to a high sta"
We have normally stayed at A 4 star hotel as we do enjoy our comforts, but due to the Rugby in Newcastle, all accommodation was booked so I looked further and found Belford House. The price was brilliant and the pictures looked inviting but it was with some trepidation if I'm honest that I booked in. We were not disappointed, the rooms were lovely, all brand new furniture to a high standard and all the fixtures, fittings and decorations were new and beyond reproach. I will be going back and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants an excellent room, a very pleasant reception all at a great price.

Wark is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Wark, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Wark hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
