The best hotel while in Kumamoto. Very close to all shopping and dining options. Very upscale hotel.

Everything was amazing staff went above and beyond. The washer/dryer combo were unexpected and were a great mid trip luxury. However - the dryer took a very long time to actually dry the clothes. Staff were brilliant and helped us dry them over the night. We will return here again.

The Ryokan was so lovely and quiet. A true oasis. Accommodation really well appointed and the food was amazing. The little area with snacks,coffee, water etc was appreciated. The staff were so friendly with impeccable service.

It was the perfect gateway into our Ryokan/onsen experience with beautiful & spacious accommodations in a super private and relaxing setting. Having our own onsen with view of the mountains was an absolute dream after a week in the big cities. The attentive staff were exceptional and brought dinner to our room that we cooked over the coals for a unique experience. Overall an incredible retreat to come back to after a busy day of onsen hopping. Truly a first class experience!

Roomy, self-contained cabin in the hills above Kurakawa Onsen with private spring-fed bath. Great base for exploring the Aso-Kuju region.

Newer property in Aso. Nicely maintained. Close to the train station, and a market is next to that. Staff extremely helpful. Some limited parking.
