Well placed hotel close to everything Ubud has to offer. We loved and used the shuttle service daily even though most places of interest were only 10 - 15 mins.
The breakfast offered was excellent and provided a great start to your day especially if you are touring further afield.
Staff were very polite and hospitable with very engaging manner. Nothing was too much effort for them.
The room facilities were excellent and they provided 4 bottles of water a day.... very thoughtful.
We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

My daughter and I wanted to go somewhere where we could relax in a peaceful setting, lie by the pool, eat great food and be spoiled. Alila Ubud ticked all those boxes and so much more.
The staff were friendly, polite and caring. The hotel facilities were beautiful. We stayed in the cheapest category of rooms but it too was perfect for us. Each morning (because I wake up early), I was able to sit on our balcony, work on my laptop and watch monkeys and squirrels in the nearby trees.
The food was another highlight. The breakfast (that was included with our package) was the best that I have ever had. An amazing selection of breads, pastries, smoothies and juices, all brought to your table. You could then select from a menu that changed it day. The portions were small but that was perfect because they encouraged you to try as many things as you liked. The complimentary afternoon tea by the pool once again was a real treat. The dinner menu was also perfect.
I won't rave on and on but we will certainly be visiting Alila again.

Resort is excellent. Swimming pools are very good. Room is good looking but facilities does not suit bcz wash basin is next to Bed, toilet and bathrooms are open from the top and without ventilation.
Rooms are big but not tourists friendly.
Staff is good. . Being in forest area and enough greenery, snakes and frogs noise are audible during late evening.

I decided to stay at Maya on my own which I can honestly say I was not disappointed. The hotel looked a lot more amazing than the pictures. I loved the décor especially the reception area. The staff welcomed me and explained everything on arrival. The resort was beautiful. There is so many places to walk and breath taking views. The best part was that it was nice and quiet; extremely peaceful. All you can hear is wildlife. My room was big and clean at all times. The staff were so helpful and always said hello with a smile which I had noticed straight away and means a lot. Also, during my stay they made the effort to remember my name which makes you feel at home despite being so far away from my actual home. It is the little details that really caught my eye and gave me the best experience at Maya. Despite being on my own I felt completely safe and the staff were very knowledgeable when I asked questions about places I wanted to visit all over the island. I will defenly 100% be returning to Maya when I come back to Bali. I can honestly say it was the best holiday of my life and I truly appreciate the kindness everyone at Maya showed me.

Ubud is the arts and cultural centre of the island. This charming mountain settlement is 25 km (1 hour’s drive) north of Denpasar and comprises 14 villages dotted with palaces, temples, museums, galleries, shops, arts and crafts, and excellent restaurants. Other than a few nightspots, village life is quiet and serene. Don’t miss the nightly traditional dance performances and nearby Monkey Forest Park.
