This was old house converted into a rent-a-room hotel. The room was clean but it need some maintenance. The prices was low and reasonable. I really enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and enjoying a beer.

Our room was very clean and nice. The staff was friendly. The main restaurant and bar is beautiful but we were very disappointed that it was closed for a private event one of the nights that we stayed there. They had a small bar open for us but it just was not the same. The person attending the bar was not a bartender and had to seek advice at the main bar for assistance. The prices of drinks should reflect the lower quality of ambiance. We would expect coffee and tea to be available complimentary at the cost we were paying for the rooms but you had to buy it at the bar. All in all, for the most part, we really liked this hotel. We just thought it was overpriced for what you got.

Nice lodge and fantastic staff. I must have booked us into the house across the street which was a slightly different experience and our particular room was very lacking in terms of amenities, size, and washroom standards.

The room was lovely, big in size and nice bathroom but a faint smell that we couldn’t work out. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel is in a great setting looking out to the water but there’s nothing at all around it so we had to taxi to South Queensferry which cost us £22 one way.

We arrived very late in the evening. We called ahead and the young man at the desk was so helpful and made sure to leave us a key in a key box outside. The monsoon shower was amazing and the beds were comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed only one night so wasn’t able to use the spa (arrived late, left early) but it looked terrific!
