Room was only half clean! But everything else was good.

Liked: My first floor room was spacious, clean, bright, the AC worked well and the bed quite comfortable. Disliked: The open stairwell allowed the restaurant and bar noise to be heard in my room; No clock radio.

Staff and clean rooms

The room was clean and spacious with a view to the hills. Although it was raining, the pool and spa were still inviting as they were warmer than the air temperature as we visited at the end of winter. Buffet Breakfast was served in The Promenade restaurant which overlooks beautiful Glenelg beach and the jetty. We also had a delightful high tea with sparkling wine. The Grand is very well located near cafes, restaurants, shops and the tram to Adelaide CBD is just outside the entrance,

Hotel is situated in a great part of the city - only minutes walk to Rundle Mall and several eateries nearby. Room was clean and all amenities were available.

Being made to wait for room was a bit tacky. Felt like the reception staff didn’t try to accommodate me being an hour early. Also couldn’t hardly understand their English due to a strong accent. Overall would not stay here again, and the room was very tired. Spa bath not working, rips and weathered surfaces on chairs and couch sofa. Dust and grime in hard to reach places. Not worth the price.
