Clean room and private shower is what we selected. Two floors no elevator. There is a Bistro and Bar below the hotel. Andrew was friendly and helpful assisting us with our luggage to our room. Excellent Bistro menu and bar service. We had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries and it was the best I ever had. We recommend the PC sandwich. I even complimented the chef loudly in the Bistro.

A very economical way to stay in Sydney. Easy walk to Victoria Cross metro station. Strait forward and friendly check in. Room was immaculate, as were shared bathroom facilities. Kitchen facilities high quality too.

The room was quiet and nicely renovated, great water pressure in the shower, and in a nice area. The breakfast room and lounge area was also a nice bonus. I would be happy to stay there again.

It is a very quaint hotel with comfortable rooms. The staff came into the room, while we were there, because the door locks don't work. There is no staff before 10am, and no clear indication about where to go to check in. ( It is inside the pub.) The location is very convenient for transportation, and a great walking area. The staff were lovely when available.

We enjoyed this small hotel! Was very nice decorated, clean and comfortable, excellent service ! Very clean, i loved the very neat made bed, new bed sheets ! I loved the beautiful wallpaper by the bed!

Definitely a real gem

Stayed in Sydney for 9 days and this was perfectly located. Bus to Manly was 200yds and the Metro into the city was 200yds in the other direction with about 4:5 stops to Central Station. The staff were really friendly and helpful, room serviced daily with a nice walk-in shower and the communal breakfast room was ideal for us plus there was a lovely cafe about 100 yds away if you fancied something a bit more like Eggs Benedict. The food in the bar downstairs was also good and had a beautifully cooked cannon of lamb at a very good price. Would definitely stay here again.

Considering its proximity to the city centre this hotel was a great find. It’s got the old house vibes but with modern finishes (i can’t explain well but it feels just right). The staff is equally amazing. I may have had some minor issues but they did their best to help out. Fair warning - don’t leave your room card in the room at night because if you do - you gonna have to wait till the morning (no staff at night). The restaurant downstairs is not to be missed either and most amenities are short walk away if you know how to look at the mobile phone maps. I was here for a week and would love to stay again!
