Great location, clean rooms. However, as the hotel is located above a pub it is noisy and hard to sleep on Friday and Saturday nights. We could hear the pounding music which made it hard to sleep. There is no hotel common area or prescription area….. price reflects what you get.

We were on a bit of a week-long whirlwind tour of England and Scotland and The Montague on the Gardens experience pretty much spoiled us to the point that the rest of the hotels on the itinerary, while nice, paled in comparison. The staff treated us as if we were royalty (something I noticed was afforded to other guests as well), the room we booked was unavailable, so we were automatically upgraded, the location (right across the street from the British Museum) is exceptional with easy tube access and quite walkable to most of what we wanted to do and see. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and look forward to coming back asap.
